Sanctimonious much?

You'd be surprised who gets high. Yes, adults with things going on in their lives get high. Shocking, I know.

A lot of dumb in this thread

I didn't realize pot was only for high school. Good to know the mature adults only get hammered off of alcohol these days.

And for the record I don't smoke pot, but have no problem with it

Ozarka and I arranged to rent a Magic Bus. Plenty of seats. BYOP

I probably smoked weed 5 times before I hit 30. Nowadays, instead of drinking, I usually smoke. No hangover, cheaper and much healthier. As you get older, you realize that it is ridiculous that alcohol and tobacco are legal and weed isnt....at least for now.

Lots.. including me

if you're not management and you don't handle machinery, lots of people don't have to take random tests

Maybe adults that work at Applebee's. Most people with real jobs and real responsibilities can forgo the enticement and amotivationalism to stay gainfully employed.........

.........or they snort coke instead gets out of your system faster.

You come off as an elitist to me.

Just bc you're too cool for pot doesn't mean you're a better adult than us. I bet you're really lame. You have one bourbon on gameday I bet. That's enough. Gotta stay responsible so you can help people avoid falling space junk.

I work for the largest law firm in the state of Colorado. More than a third of

the attorneys smoke pot AT LEAST once a week. My boss does too.

I do not. I will eat the occasional sweet treat. But, it's ridiculous to suggest that people with real jobs and responsibilities do not smoke pot.

Not very often, no. Definitely not as a means of making my day better.

Then why drink at all? Pot is for relaxation. Same as having a glass or 2 of single malt after a rough day. Same thing. Im not some pothead afficianado but the mis-information out there is crazy. Id much prefer to find my teenager with a joint than marlboro lights or jack daniels.

I'm not judging you bro. Blaze it up. Just not for me, and yes I've tried it.

Personally I'd like to see us decriminalize (note, not legalize) all drugs at least at the federal level.

In regards to misinformation, there's just as much pro pot misinformation out there. Some would you have think it's some major government conspiracy as to why it hasn't been legalized. Still plenty of chances to kill people on the road driving while high(just like DUI) and there's shitloads more tar in a joint vs a cigarette. Yes, I'm aware you smoke a lot fewer joints for rec use vs cigs. Marijuana also does something else...it completely destroys motivation. It works differently in different people; I've seen people throw their careers away because they just wanted to get high all day. At the same time, I also know folks who blaze before work, during lunch, and after work and they do pretty well at their jobs; professional careers too.

I may have the wrong poster, but I'm guessing you typically don't indulge in those sweet treats before baseball games?

Simma down.

I mentioned in the post that I was joking...kinda.

I couldnt care less if people smoke, just as long as they dont put others in harm's way. Same as being drunk, same as doing coke, etc etc etc.

At the same time, I also cant imagine going halfway across the country to go do something in a specific state just because its legal there.
Call me apathetic, I guess.

I seriously doubt weed is healthier for you over the long term. You can drink pretty much every day and it be good for you. Maybe some of the higher quality stuff you can smoke regularly without negative health effects, but I doubt it.

The world would be a much safer place if everyone smoked pot instead of drinking alcohol. Look up the % of violent crimes committed while the person is under the influence of alcohol. Last I checked it was close to .70%. That's ridiculous. How many more people would still be alive today if the assailant hadn't been drunk?
