I had a deal like this last week

I had to turn off active X in safety, and make a change in managed add-ons.

That was to be able to watch ESPN3.

I've upgraded to it. It adds a little bit of that XP, Win 7 feel back to it.

I like windows 8, It's just an operating system that they built to try to tie all devices together and run everything on one OS. It's hard to build a system that runs as well on a phone and a tablet as a desktop and laptop.

But I guess my touches of ADHD just blends well with 8.

When I got a new PC in January I did the 8.1 thing. I refuse to buy a touch screen PC because I work at a desk and have always hated fingerprints on my screens any way. This link will tell you how to totally eradicate the whole Metro thing from usage. I did those things and loaded Classic Shell which gave back a Start button and menu, and a Program called ModernMix will actually run any Metro programs in a window. It works like I like my PC to work and is actually an improvement over 7 now.
