The IT Pros (Latin for: Let us find ways to justify this department being so huge) at the company I work for have implemented something called Banyan Security on mobile devices. In addition to us now being incredibly safe and secure **, it's had the unadvertised effect of rendering the iOS Mail app basically useless.

So... off to Microsoft Office app I go... and HOLY SHIZNIT... it's the Hulu Live TV version of mail apps. Bloated, convoluted, multiple clicks to do what used to be one click. Why do I need a dedicated button for Copilot? Why do I need a dedicated button for the Office suite of apps? Why is the trash button on emails so tiny and located in a tiny strip at the bottom with other tiny buttons?

Simple is better.

Nothing can be worse than Gmail.

looking for that school email from last week? Sorry no dice but how about you’re give you one from 3 years ago.
Want to forward this? It’s one of the 3 dots but you will never remember which one no matter how many times you use it

want to upload the email directly to Drive? Lol

The frustrating thing is how poor the UX has gotten on all of these when it used to work well. My worst experience is the email search feature on Outlook. Good luck finding an email. Five years ago, no problem.

if your company was allowing you to attach your corporate email to the default iPhone mail app, at least they finally ended that security nightmare and came around to allowing Outlook only. And yes, Outlook sux, particularly the new version.

OUTLOOK is much worse for me. Very controlling. I still have an account but refuse to use it for general use. Hate it.

Microsoft software as a whole straight up sucks. Excel and Word are slower than they were back when I was in college 20+ years ago. Plus word tries to “think” for you which ends up feeling like you’re negotiating with an idiot when editing a document.

I don't get the Teams hate.
It isn't something I love, but I also don't hate it. I use it. It works. Pretty straight forward.

- I schedule meetings, then join on Teams and everyone is there. We talk, finish the meeting, and copilot sends us all a very good meeting recap which none of us will look in the future.

- I chat with people of groups, they see my message, and respond.

- I create a channel, store documents that others can access and view, and others that are part of the team can do the same.

Maybe I am only using the good parts of the program? What is bad about it?
