On top of the guys who Stoops recruited in 2013 & 2014 class who have already bolted, this is very concerning

Or on the other hand, locker room cancers are being cut out to save the patient

As long as it's not Boom, Juice, Conrad, Barker, Kenegra, Elam, Ware, Westry, Edwards, West, maybe Baity, GAA....I am really not going to lose sleep on the rest leaving. Obviously we don't need mass exodus...but a few WR, OL, LBs, etc..here and there...just are not guys that are hard to replace.

I don't know. Maybe all the good cells are getting out of Dodge and the bad cells are remaining in the patient.

Depends on who leaves really. If someone like Toth left. (I have no reason to believe he's leaving), then maybe it gets a little dicey.

Guys transfer every year at every school...its usually not your stud starters and brightest prospects...and I doubt it will be our returner starters or brightest RS's.

Got to hope it is a positive and not good players leaving a sinking ship. Something is obviously wrong with discipline and if knuckle heads are being given an ultimatum and choosing to leave... good.

Hope Montgomery isn't one of them. His injury made me fear he was done.

Guys transfer from every school every year, whether it's playing time, homesick, grades, or just not getting along with staff or other players.

When you recruit the remaining 4 and 5 stars their are sometimes valid reasons that other "big name" programs make them back up options. I don't know who is going who is staying but my guess is there is a history with some of them.

I just hope one of them is Baker. He can't leave UK quick enough.
I don't disagree if his attitude continues to effect how he plays... But would rather have him grow up and be a man, change his attitude and be the stud we know he can be...
I believe the right coach could control him.we need to setup a teaching session between cal and stoops!!

When guys are transferring off of a good team it's one thing, but when guys are leaving a program trending in the wrong direction then it's another. Not a good sign when there's talks of mass transfers literally as soon as your season ends. Hate to tell some of you, but it wasn't the players who held us back this year, it was the coaches. As Ricky Lumpkin said after the game Saturday, this year's team has more talent top to bottom than any of Brooks teams that went to 5 straight bowls. It's time to stop blaming Joker and start lining the blame up with Stoops and the staff THAT HE HAND-PICKED. The guy is in over his head, plain and simple. Former players like Lumpkin, Braxton Kelley, David Jones, McClinton, etc. have went out of their way to voice their displeasure and continue to come out and talk about how it's not the players that are the issue..when are some of you actually going to listen? Or are the experts on here going to pretend former UK players don't know as much as them? Wouldn't surprise me

I like Ricky Lunpkin, but I think that he is wrong. This team reminded me more of a hybrid of 2005 (better) & 2006 (not as good), IMHO. There was some talent for sure, but it was mostly the youngsters (and youngsters typically make too many mistakes). Next year, I might agree with him...

This is a joke right?!

Copied from @GusVanRan on HOB:
"He had a lot of bad drops this season, but...

was 6th in the SEC in receptions (55), 14th in receiving yards (608), and 6th in receptions/game (4.6). He also averaged 11 yards per reception.

If not for Garrett Johnson's 694 receiving yards this season, Baker's 608 yards would be the most yards by a UK receiver since 2010 (Chris Matthews 925 and Cobb 1017). Cobb is now a Pro Bowl caliber player, and Matthews was a senior.

Promising future, especially if he begins to consistently catches the ball."

And all of this was done as a Sophomore. One of the most physically gifted WR's UK has ever had.

At some point the real behind the scenes issues, and maybe sme names, will leak out and then we'll have a much better idea if we're cutting out cancers or are dying.

Former players, especially ones who have been gone 4+ years and never played for this staff have no idea what is going on in the locker room, if players are being asked to move on or if they are just looking for opportunities to play and don't see that happening at UK.

Towles leaving makes some sense. If he is resigned to the fact that Drew would be the QB next year and he wants to play then he needs to go elsewhere to do so. Until we know who/if anyone else is leaving then it is premature to speculate as to why. Players have left after every season and to date it has always been players who were not playing or playing very little...and they have all gone to smaller programs like EKU and Murray, Eastern Ill...when players who can play on the FBS level start leaving then perhaps I'll be concerned.

No it's not a joke. It's his attitude not the drops. IMO he is poison in the locker room.

So you have first have knowledge of our locker room? If so, let's hear it. I'm all ears.

My guess is that you're speculating or just completely making things up.
Maybe you have trouble with reading comprehension so I will spell it out for you. IMO means "in my opinion". I have no inside knowledge nor do I know anyone associated with the program. I do know what I have seen on the field and on the sideline with my own eyes. He mailed it in on numerous blocks he was supposed to make and his attitude was clear to me. It isn't about the drops. The issue is much bigger than that.

That's exactly what I thought, you're clueless.

I've seen him carry multiple defenders 10-yards down the field. You don't do that if effort is an issue.

Was he inconsistent like most 19 year old Sophomore's? Absolutely, but trashing him, hoping he transfers and saying he is a "poison in the locker room" is complete BS.

You're the type of fan I despise.

This forum doesn't involve my world view. It involves my opinions on UK sports. Just like the debate on whether Towles or Barker is the better quarterback on here. It's conjecture not fact. On whether Stoops should have a better record at this juncture. Or if Cal should play a certain player more than he does. It's all conjecture. Opinions. See, that is how a forum operates. Understand now?

Speculating on who starts and who doesn't is one thing. Actively rooting for a player to transfer and saying he is a "locker room poison" is completely different. If you can't see the difference, then I question your intelligence.
