as a starter, anyway. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424127887323982704578453092944199494.html
Is Russell Wilson tall enough for the nfl? Not saying tebow is as good as Russell, but he's certainly tallerYou think he'll get a job as QB, though? He looks like he has an extra motion now, and cocks his arm. It seems that would make him susceptible to getting the ball swatted out, or the secondary extra time to read and close. I have nothing against him as a person, and he was a great college QB, but he's short for the pros, and that extra motion is a problem.

Are you serious? Christianity is why he isn't a starter? Ever heard of Drew Brees? I follow about 10 Saints players and one of them ONLY tweets Bible versus and Drew Brees had a BEST SELLER that chronicled his faith.I hope you're right. I like him too and thought he'd be a starter by now. I think part of the reason he's not is his open Christianity. He probably needs to tone that down a bit on the field. And he doesn't seem to be the favorite of the Jets coach.

He need a ballsy coach like Sean Payton who likes to change it up on special teams. I don't think he ends up in NOLA though. Going back to my original point, I think almost every team would want him for backup QB to play holder to add that element, but he would bring a circus of 13 year old girls who have never watched football but like him for his off the field stuff. He proved he could be a decent game manager in Denver. Even if he never fixes his mechanics, you get a backup qb that is serviceable that can also be used situationally. Probably not every coach can use him correctly, but it seems like a no brainer that somebody will pick him up. Just a question of at what salary.

Terrible QB? Really? In the ONLY season he was given a chance he took a losing 1-4 team to first round playoff win over the Steelers. He went 7-4, 12 passing touchdowns, 6 interceptions, 660 yards rushing with another 6 touchdowns rushing. Only Cam Newton had more rushing yards at QB than Tebow with 706 yards and he started from game 1, Tebow didn't start till game 5. How many playoff games did Denver win this last year? Ask yourself why do you hate Tebow so much? Just look at his record and his rushing yards. How happy would Carolina be if Cam Newton took them to the playoffs and won a game? He hasn't done that but Tim Tebow has. Tebow hasn't started another game since that playoff run. Why? Why should he be run out of the NFL? He's been given zero chance since he went 7-4 and was 2nd in the entire NFL in rushing for a QB. It's a shame what is being done to Tebow right now.
Again, you're talking about a team who had no other choice but BLOW UP their offense and do only what Tebow could do. Wide receivers on that team said they hated it. It wouldn't have worked if Denver hadn't had the running game they had and the offensive line they had. He wouldn't work out in Jacksonville because their offensive line is garbage and they have no slot receivers or athletic tight ends.Terrible QB? Really? When has he proven he isn't that great? He took a 1-4 Broncos team into the playoffs and won his first round game. Then he was benched in NYJ and attempted only 8 passes (6 completed) last year. Tebow is being forced out of the NFL because he's not traditional. Meaning he has bad mechanics but still finds a way to win and he brings a media circus with them. The owners, GM's and coaches just don't want the media headache that comes with him. It's too bad because Tebow can still win games and I enjoy watching him play. The Bills should take Tebow and buy completely into him. They won't though they'll draft EJ Manuel instead.
As I remember it, a tremendous Broncos defense led the 1-4 Broncos to the playoffs.
I like Tebow, but let's be honest. He is not an NFL QB, or he would be playing QB in the NFL.
With a shortened training camp. How many reps does the third string QB receive in practice? That's what he was before being put in in game 5. Also, the QB god, Elway, didn't have a much better completion % his first year as a starter.Tebow's career completion percentage is 47.9 percent. THAT'S why he should be run out of the NFL. Heck, JaMarcus Russell had a completion percentage of 52% and he is considered the biggest bust in NFL history. I guarantee you if he could complete 60% of his passes, no one would have an issue with him. Especially not in this day in age with Colin Kaepernick, Michael Vick, RG III, Russell Wilson.

That first 28 was against Oakland. The defense certainly played a big part in the broncos success. Tebow did too though. The broncos scored 38 (28 in 2nd half). They scored 38 (28 in second half) against Vikings. They scored 29 against the best defense in the nfl (steelers) to win playoff game. And I know Pittsburgh was missing defensive starters, but Eric decker and Chris kuper got injured early in that game. Tebow threw for 300. Tebow played a part in that division title. If it was only defense, how come they started 1-4 and didn't start winning till tebow took over?
In the CFL it's common to make 45-50 attempts a game. Last year I'm pretty sure Tebow went 6-8 with just over 100 yards. Anthony Calvillo is the most beloved player in the CFL (I hate his team but respect him) and has thrown for over 73000 yards in 18 pro seasons. So he could do well from learning under him just like Garcia did with Flutie. The CFL game is played by 225lbs LB's who play coverage and blitz and run stop. Plus you have the addition of a defensive HB that will crack, sack and intercept everything Tebow throws up, full motion in the back field, and more pressure on 1st and 2nd down. Tebow can barely connect with a receiver in the NFL. I think he needs to either be humble and take a year or two as a back up in the NFL/CFL and work on his mechanics or play HB in the NFL and make big money. He would only make like 800k or a mill in the CFL. So it's up to him. Play for the love of the game or play for a paycheque.
