Our Auburn win was a fluke.

That's basically what I've come to understand from the Auburn family. You know the drill. They "spotted" us 21 points. We paid the refs. If they played us X times on a neutral field, they would win (X * ~.85) of those times. State is not that good and has no impressive wins other than Auburn, which again, they gave to us.

For those of you in Mississippi, I hope that at least the Bear talk has slowed down. That's not the case in Auburn.

I work with 2 Auburn grads. They're the worst. They must teach a mandatory elective at Auburn on how to be the worst possible sport about everything.

It's the only explanation as to why 100% of the Auburn grads I know are miserable to be around.

If that's the case, we gave them a national championship when Broomfield dropped that would-be pick six on Cam.

Not that logic applies in these discussions.

Doesn't matter. They spotted us 21. We paid the refs. Oh, I forgot to mention the cowbells. We are Neck State.

So I guess Bama spotted them all those points in last year's iron bowl? We gave them the same number of turnovers they gave us. We scored 21 points off of theirs to their 13. Piss on them. We beat them. They are the whiniest fan base in the country.

So we go up early. after that, it was an even game. So auburn is an even ball club with state if state has 4 turnovers during that span.

So, auburn is equal to msu if msu has 4 turnovers vs their 2. Im taking out the first 5 minutes of the game.

Fluke? That's some special delusion saying that after what happened in Oxford.

But they are the most delusional fanbase in the conference. Rebs are a bastion of objectivity compared to them.

Or did we win because we have something on the defensive side of the ball while they have less than something?

The president of my company is an Auburn grad. We had corporate meetings the Tuesday and Wednesday after the game. He slapped me on the back during the first break and said "you know if we played 99 more times, we'd win 97 of them..."

How about "we're a much different team now than when we played in Starkville"?

This x 1000. Last year I mentioned to a barner that they needed a last second touchdown to beat us in Jordan-Hare. He said, "Well we've improved so much since then." As if Auburn is the only team that improved from week 1 to week 15.

I find that saying "It's too bad you lost" shuts down pretty much anybody that starts down that road.

does he realize to win 97 out of 99, they'll have to win the next 96?

That sick feeling in my gut thinks we will meet them again.

State and Auburn are by far the best 2 teams i have seen play this year

Auburn should know a fluke when they see it. They made it to the championship game on 3 of them last year. Only to embarrass the SEC with the first loss in 8 years. Bama would have won that game against FSU. And I am not a fan of anything Bama whatsoever.

That's also a handy reason for the difference between the OM and MSU outcomes in BR this year.

auburn's entire run last year was a fluke...and they turned into a pumpkin on 10/11.

I just don't understand the Auburn mindset of "We have never and should never lose to MSU."

It's like they don't even realize that we have actually outscored them by a combined 19 points over the last five meetings- in which time they have had two of their best teams ever, and we took both of them to the brink.
