That round metal rim in front of the glass backboard...
The round ball they dribble needs to pass through that circular thing accurately, and frequently.

The other stuff our team does is relatively good. Passing, ball handling..

But, that ball has to pass through that metal circle, and down through the fabric weaving called "the net."

Our shooting, scoring, sucks. Not totally, but...sheesh. I can't blame that on coaching.

we are very young and it shows in every aspect that i'll agree on. But.. thats also where coaching comes in. Young teams need veteran coaches to design the right plays that set up a good shot. Those shots we were shooting tonight were due to poor shot selection and bad play calling. And for some reason we continue to play at fast paced game when we don't have the experience to do that yet. The commentators during the final minute of regulation before OT were saying if you are San Diego you wait and let Mississippi State turn the ball over.... and we did. Stansbury should have had them well practiced and prepared for all defenses, mainly the full court press, that teams will use in the final minute when you got a lead. Theres a lot of mistakes to be made with a young team but after 10 years of caoching Stansbury should be ready for these types of situations and keeping the team focused and not taking awful shots.

After 10 years of Stans, who I actually like...
Why are we "young?"

We should be mature. Have a developed team.

JMO. Yeah, that's a rule violation. Moderate me.

Young Arkansas (3 Freshmens, 2 juniors) played 8 players tonight and hung 96 on 4th ranked Oklahoma. This is a team that lost their top scorer in the summer, unexpectedly. Apparently, under **** Stains we are going to be young every year. How many years of being YOUNG does he get before he's expected to produce with that young talent instead of running it off? This year is no different, we have guys like Bailey, Augustus, and Osby getting buried on the end of the bench while Turner, Benock and Stewart jack up bricks night after night. Those of you bitching about how we have no post presence, how can we? Our offense is a high low where our 4 guards take turns dribbling around the top of the key waiting for someone to throw up a 3 with 5 seconds left on the shot clock. We don't have a scoring or rebounding presence because Jarvis is in the lane BY HIMSELF after the shot is thrown up because our 4 guards are running down the court setting up on D.
