I've been keeping up with all of this Devinner **** lately and I have an observation about something. I don't understand why our very own people who are running sites (Wardlaw, Gene, Steve) keep perpetuating this situation instead of letting it die and taking what the NCAA has already decided to do? Supposedly it's common knowledge the investigation is long over and punishment is already decided. All these guys are doing is keeping it stirred up and giving this dipshit Devinner a forum to try to make a buck and by keeping it going all it potentially does is hurt MSU, nothing more. There is nothing else to come of it, there are no ramifications that could come except bad. Why are some of our people so damn stupid that they can't realize it? Or is it strictly ego, immaturity, or what?

Wardlaw, Gene, Steve stop whatever vendetta you have against the booster (I have followed for years so I know the history that has been spewed on the boards) and remember what your primary focus should be if you are running MSU sites---the well-being of MSU sports. If you can't do that then get the hell away from our athletic programs because you are the enemy and a major problem hindering our success.

Exactly. Cancel your subscription if you have one with Genespage or BDJ. If you actually care about all things MSU, you will cancel your subscription to both of these sites.

1. You realize that nothing they do is applauded on this site. So your criticism is not surprising in this instance
2. Are you saying that only comments and discussion that promote a positive light "the well-being of MSU sports" should be tolerated? You may need to wipe out 90% if the posts on this board while you are at it.

I don't subscribe or visit those sites so I am not a supporter. I just find your points a bit odd considering the content of this board.

I look forward to the comedy that would ensue if the big push that ended the reign of jortfro came from SPS calling on all bulldawg fans to finally stop spending money on that site.

You're comparing apples and oranges. There's a big difference in being objective about a player's effort, a coach's playcalling, or an AD decision and continuing to regurgitate and dig for the smallest amount of filth that actually hurts the school's reputation on a national level. There isn't a school out there that isn't objective about players, coaches and the AD. Show me one other site for a school that goes out of its way to dig up dirt on the school it represents for athletics.

I have been following the situation and I see this exactly the opposite out of Gene and Steve. They have handled our crazy *** fans better than most would. For the past three days the conversation no their site has been about this situation and Steve has tried to clear the air through all the heresay and move on.

It does seem like they are only talking about this topic, but when all the fans look to them for some sort of information, at least Steve isn't out there making things up like yancy does routinely.

Exactly. Bitching and complaining is nowhere near akin to digging and digging for dirt on the school you supposedly love because you're butt hurt over some rival's message board.

As Sutterkane just said: show me one other site for a school that goes out of its way to dig up dirt on the school it represents for athletics. Please....just one. I'd love to see an example of one other site doing this kind of crap to the University it covers for its fans.

It's not enough to not pay for their premium sites. Don't even visit their free sites. Don't give them the page hits.

As for the original poster's comments about Herring. He's every bit as much guilty as Rosebowl and Wardlaw are, if not more. I don't care how long you've known him, he's caused us some problems. This is why boosters should not try to get involved in recruiting. 17 him, 17 Wardlaw, and 17 Rosebowl. I hope we cut off their sites from any access to our program, just like we did with the booster.

By people that are a lot smarter than Herring and by people who want the glory for MSU, not so they can sit around and brag about what they done to their buds.

I think what he is trying to say is that no one on this site likes Gene or Steve. Most aren't members, yet they claim that Gene and Steve are trying to tear down MSU.

However, if you are a member, and that is your opinion, you're certainly entitled to it.

It's bizzaro world lately.

SPS wants to control and suppress the discussion. While Pornfro and the others are involved in the discussion.

i think the reason our fans and fan site managers want to revel in our failures and possible downfall is driven by the same thought process that causes most of our fans to bring a blue tailgate tent to the Junction. They truly dont give a **** about MSU. their fan support of the school is driven by convenience only and not by their deep seeded desire for our program to succeed.

I mean if I was purely going to the game for the spectacle of it all, it wouldnt really matter what color my tailgate tent was afterall. The most important thing is that I spent as little money as possible to get a ring side seat.

The majority of these idiots that want all of the details regarding this de'vinner situation rooted out are simply in it for the spectacle and not the long run implication it has on the success or failure of MSU sports.

that's because the content on this site is driven purely by the users. the content on the subscription sites is driven by a singular person, who the subscribers give the authority to. The subscribers are paying money to read the opinion of a singular person therefore, in order to justify their financial stake, they are more likely to believe what that person says. It wouldnt make much sense to pay for content from a person who you thought had different interests than yours.

Jim Jones comes to mind.

Sixpack never wanted to destroy MSU, we always wanted MSU to be better and thought the administration was holding us back. The other sites were part of that agenda.

Now we have a progressive administration that is making strides and the same people that were trying to keep the sheep on message with LT, are trying to tear down what is being built with not just discussion, but proliferation of lies, half-truths, and promotion of their own agenda.

Also, there is plenty of discussion on this board, but there is nobody fanning the fire with BS just to keep the clicks coming.

If you continue to subscribe to something that slanders the MSU brand in any form or fashion and you know it, you are dumber than any one of them. Congratulations. If you don't realize it(see above), then you have no hope.
