I can only surmise from this that the coaches aren't convinced that our players are as good as we think they are. Certainly from prescott's perspective he has the potential but not yet the numbers to back it up. As I say, preseason picks are really worthless things that go away once we tee it up.

I guess Bo is giddy today after being picked 2nd team ahead of Dak. Congrats Bo, your lifelong dream has happened.

McKinney looks great.............

but I want to see him play great. 2nd team seems right to me. Jones should've been first team though.

Wallace, though he's choked some, has done more than Dak. Dak may have more upside but he needs to get it done on the field versus the SEC. Marshall, Wallace then Dak seems right for a pre-season vote.

McKinney is looking at a top 15 selection in the draft. That shouldn't COUNT for anything, but it's a good indication that he's one of the top 2 or 3 [eligible] linebackers in the country. Should be a 1st team.

Coaches polls are proving themselves to be more and more worthless. They are the worst example of popularity contests there are. Used to, we thought they were much more reliable than the press in terms of polls but they seem to be far less.

But, I am VERY ok with us not getting any love. Earn it and shove it down their throats. Hope the bears continue to get fluffed along right into a disastrous season. We all know that their coaches aren't good enough to prevent that from happening.

Lots of under/overthrown balls that day, and not necessarily due to abnormally high amounts of pressure brought (successfully) by the DL

my god the comments on the espn article are the most homeristic things i've ever seen. "this guy should be first team over this guy cuz he goes to my school." sometimes i read them just to see how dumb people are.

LSU game plans for OM about like OM claims to game plan for us. Les Mercy Kneed them under Nutt and I don't think he has wasted another minute thinking about them. OM beAt them last year with OM playing a bunch of second string players which pisses me off even more. Why are we always LSU's Super Bowl?

Respect is earned not given and until next week this team has earned nothing. Sit tight and relax, the only thing preseason predictions, award nominations, etc do is sell magazines and website hits. If you want to spend your money on preseason hype, feel free, I'd rather watch the respect grow as earned than worry about something the Barrett Sallee's of the world dream up
