It is huge and much change. That and the Quad 3 losses did it. Play a holiday neutral court tourney. It matters! We know that now.
Looks like it could be Yale in the NIT
You seem connected to Pikiell and company. May want to let him know. This Board sees it as clear as day. Not sure Pikiell does.

Is it Pike's fault that ND (the Mohegan game) and Gonzaga didn't want to play RU and backed out of what were expected OOC games?

Just win the lower team games…OOC means nothing when you lose to Nebraska and Minny!!

Beat those two teams and we are in. Beat the teams we are supposed to beat. NC state proved that with a clean resume.

Our most damaging losses were probably Minnesota and Nebraska. I don't disagree that changing the OOC would give us more margin for error, but ultimately need to win the games we need to win.

Playing tougher OOC games isn't changing anything......you don't get rewarded for it.
Seems like you can only get punished for losing...not much to gain otherwise. When you're in a strong conference, as we now are, we have to avoid in-conference WTF games. Even in-conference it's the same...Minny game killed us. Did sweeping PSU and playing Purdue tough all the time help us tonight? We still have an image problem in some places. I'm also afraid we have no one at Rutgers that has any presence/influence anywhere in the world of college athletics. GO RU!

The ncaa committee specifically values non conference performance

Yet the same posters continue to say it doesn't matter

Mississippi State had an ok resume but not great...but they beat Marquette and TCU..it matters when you have other warts

Providence did nothing ooc but didnt have bad losses

You cannot check two red flag boxes and we did

NC STATE HAD 1 QUAD 1 win!! all year! and they didn’t even have to play in dayton. let that sink in. clear ACC bias. quad Q wins are not factored in apparently, nor are road wins or road quad 1 wins and then wins against tourney teams. All that matters is beating teams you’re supposed to apparently. They lost to a team not in the tourney 3 times.

Selfishly, I want to play in a destination tourney for 4 days against good competition. If we lose them, we lose them.

By the way, I blame you because you declared us in a long time ago. Your predictions over the years stay consistent. LOL.

Best of Luck,
Groz

The problem is 99.9% the losses and 0.1% the schedule.
