Out of roughly 340 NCAA basketball teams we are ranked 15th.

Stans has done a pretty Good Job, minus the Akron loss. We should and could be undefeated right now..

Sweet 16 or Bust.....

Was that sarcasm? I don't recall alot of 15-0 predictions at the start of the season.

But that was before Moultrie went beyond my expectations of his play.

We SHOULD have beaten Akron and Baylor and COULD be undefeated right now.
Stans did not have our team ready to play vs a HORRIBLE Akron team and we go HOSED by the referees in the Baylor game and STANS FAILED to draw up a play to get a last shot off at the end of the game vs Baylor.
I am happy where we are right now in the season. How big the AZ and A&M wins were have yet to be determined.
Now it's time to take care of business in the SEC.

We have Top 10 Talent.... Sweet 16 or Bust....

We gave them 4 points in the final 5 minutes of the game, but part of me thinks that we could have at LEAST gotten something before that last shot attempt, because there were opportunities.

Stans had a play drawn up for the last shot, but it included (and probably was all) Dee Bost... who was taken away... smart move by Baylor, and instead of calling a Time Out and working to counter what they gave us, we gave the ball to a Freshman... which is probably what they wanted us to do. If I had to choose between an experienced senior point guard and a freshman shooting guard to create and make the last shot, I'd pick the latter, too. So I blame Stans, but not for failing to have a play drawn up, but failing to have our team prepared for what they gave us on the last shot or some kind of Plan B.

He drew up a play, but the one he did FAIL to get off a good shot. <span style="font-weight: bold;">I am not saying he didn't draw up a play, just the one he did failed to get us a good look.</span> We should not have even taken the TO while we were in our transition offense. He called a TO, then Baylor called another after looking at our personnel and countered, Stans didn't make the adjustment and called the same play, Baylor was ready for Bost. Stasn was out-coached again..

insinuating that he didn't have a play drawn up which he did, it was just countered by Baylor and no adjustment was made. But back to the argument at hand...

I do agree that he was outcoached twice to end the game... first by giving up the layup to their leading scorer and having no help in the paint, but then to call a timeout in transition where we are MUCH stronger.

Good point on the lack of defensive help, have to fill those gaps in the lane.

I don't care if you choose the top 50 or top 100, we are ranked 15th in spite of the nonstop bitching on this board after a loss and the deafening silence after our wins.

Do you think fans of UK are still bitching about that Indiana loss? Are North Carolina fans still griping about that UNLV loss? Yet here we have fans still complaining about the Baylor game and the Akron game from nearly two months ago.</p>

I've done the numbers plenty of times, the NCAA Tourney is about the BCS conference teams and then the same ol mid-majors year in and year out for the most part... <div>
</div><div>I think everyone is happy with our ranking. People bitched- myself included- because of the way we lost to Baylor- not that we lost. We knew going in it would be tough to win there. It's just the same ol Stansbury way of not even getting a shot off after calling a time-out of the final possession. We see it time after time. And we'll see it again most probably before this season ends.</div><div>
</div><div>And yes- Kentucky fans are still pissed about losing to Indiana and ruining their perfect record.</div><div>

If we SHOULD have beaten both teams we lost to, then we also SHOULD be undefeated right now.
That SHOULD be easy to understand.

Personally, i think we SHOULD have beaten Akron based on talent and COULD have beaten Baylor based on our play.
This would lead to a more accurate statement that we COULD have beaten both teams and therefore COULD be undefeated right now.

I find it laughable that you feel we should have beaten a top 10 team on the road(not at their place, but clearly not at ours or near our campus) who matched up very well with us and did not play a poor game.
