Over/Under $650,000 for Collins?

Under. Pruitt was making 500k at FSU. I bet it's around there and that would be a 66.7% raise for Collins.
I hope like hell we hang onto Collins. If I were him this would be a tough decision. FSU would be equal or more money, only a ~15% increase in cost of living while having no state income tax, it's a premier program, and it's not the weekly grind and pressure of the SEC.
He'll eventually stay because he'll listen to his heart and that bulldog heart won't let him run scared from the SEC. Too much juice

Why we should hire a person with experience in athletics 10 of 10 times. Being a cheerleader and interning for someone who knows that they're talking about doesn't count.
Better than LT? Sure. But I think the fact that a lot of big successful schools that have former women's volleyball coaches as AD's and we have a suburban dad running the show with the worst #'s in the entire conference says all you need to know. Find someone from outside of MSU. Athletics is the only thing I'd value an outside source in.
My guess is under by the way. And it's because we're stupid. If we're so good at running off coaches to accept a lateral or less than lateral job (i.e. Wilson, Keonning) then why not give Collins the money? And if he sucks "make" him accept a job to be LB and recruiting coordinator for UCLA next year. Does $200,000 make or break us? 17. We're an SEC school with a 17 ton of money. This is the reason the Saints and Pels overpay by several mil for FA's every year. If they don't offer it they won't come or stay, and if they offer them what they're looking for from everyone else in the league they'd rather choose a better team ($X from FSU is better than $X from MSU). At the end of the day the extra money won't push us over the max/cap/bankruptcy and we still make money and win games. 17.

Look no further than this past year to see how dangerously close we were to losing momentum and therefore losing gameday revenues for 2014. I mean Scott is playing with house money at this point.
Providing stability and investing in our successful coaches is how big boy programs do it. Maybe we'll learn.

This is the first year I can remember seeing so much heat towards Strick in this department. In the 1 or 2 CL (barf) articles I've clicked on the 10 comments were "PAY THEM!" and all of my friends from MSU have been tweeting about $$$ nonstop in the last several days.
He'll just come out with a quote in a couple days when Bonner asks him a random question that Mullen is 100% in charge of assistant hirings and salaries. Just like he's done indirectly in the past. I can just picture him cringing when trying to sleep at night knowing every fan is bitching about him not being ahead of the salaries.
Strick is a fantastic marketer and what-not. Would make a fantastic SID or Asst AD. I'd rather have Felker's ancient *** making important decisions.
