I set the number at 6.5... I take over and think we get 6 in the regular season and beat an inferior opponent in a small bowl game to get to 7.<div>

Great idea...why stop with MSU wins for the season..someone should organize a week by week posting for the rest of the conference...
and how the hell do you get 6.5 wins unless you are expecting to count moral wins.

I did this to prevent someone from saying push and get 6. My intentions were to force people to go either go over or under. They do it in Las Vegas in sports betting.

Call me asheep but I don't give a ****. I'm saying we are 6-0 heading to Florida after turning a corner against Auburn at home and ending our 11 year drought against LSU in BR. Georgia is coming into Starkville on shaky legs and will be ripe for the picking for a Mullen squad on a raabid high after two key conf. wins. For the first time in more than 10 years there is not a game on the schedule we coubnt as a guaranteed loss. We have a team with the potential to beat any team on our schedule. As I said the other day - I am not saying we win every game. What I am saying is we finally have a team that I believe can compete with every team we play and be in a position to win in the fourth quarter.

My call - 10-2 losses to Fla., Bammer and shut out UM in Oxford

Wow....I think we have enough players to compete with everyone for 4 quarters except Alabama. BUT...I don't see us going 10-1 reg season. We ARE Miss St. and something, including our selves **cough cough refs, will keep us from winning a couple games we prolly could or should win. 7-5 would have me running through the streets. Let's just hope for that.

i like your enthusiam, but we're going to be the underdogs in 7-9 games this year (depending on KY & UM).

i like our team too, but let's don't get carried away. 10 wins is not impossible, but neither is 4. I do agree with you that LSU is a real possibility (although since they scheduled it for a night game, our chances just went way down), but we could play really well all year and still end up with 5-6 wins. 6-6 or 7-5 would be a good year.
