he has what is very commonly a long-lingering injury and was in a walking boot like a month or so ago. it's not being discussed enough that he will probably be playing hurt the whole year. thats our luck.
That's because alot of our fans have NO idea how debilitating turf toe can be. He definitely seems a half a step slower this year so fat

He’s very loose with his handle and when he drives then he’s straight up and not low to the ground. The ball gets knocked out of his hands wayyyyy too much with that build, he should be low and would help with his explosiveness in the paint.

He’s playing like a flat out pansy out there in comparison to what we saw from him last year and honestly it’s disgusting! Either give it all you got or go play hurt in your mommy’s bed and get off the damn court! I’m so sick of the whiny *** players that pussyfoot around!

Oweh is just what he is. He’s not a shooter. He can’t/wont pass. He’s not a ball handler.

He is a scorer off the bounce. You can’t run plays for him because he can’t shoot.

People talk about quick release, he’s slow and low release.

If you let him stand there alone he will make a good percentage.

He plays good defense for the most part.

His points have to come from driving the ball, run outs, free throws and put backs.

Tonight he did almost none of that. Louisville was over guarding him on the perimeter. Yet he didn’t even try to make them pay for that

Was their defense that good? He couldn’t get a step on them?

Or is he still hurt?

If it was their defense then take him out. Let someone else try.

If he’s still hurt don’t play him at all.

ABSOLUTELY!!! If his excuse is he’s still hurt and can’t give 100% then go jump on mommas tit until he’s better!

He had a horrible game.

He plays like this from time to time. He is prone to situations where he looks terrible dribbling into trouble and getting it stripped or poked away. Louisville did a good job crowding the paint whenever he started to drive. He neither is adroit enough to slither around defenders nor has the vision to find open players. When he chooses to drive, he's all in.

I’m fine with sitting him out until January. I’ll put a lot of this game on him. He’s our top paid player. Pre season all American even if we know that’s not really what he is. He is capable of being at least what he was last year.

He’s supposed to be our leader and he may of been our worst player. He has terrible body language!!!

and people are trying to say Stokes will be a problem. Oweh is playing like he ate a jar of shrooms before the game. He’s honestly pissing me off. I would have rather had Travis Perry than Oweh tonight and I am not exaggerating!

He never wanted to me back, and now will just go through the motions until he gets drafted.

This, there is no way he is 100%. This feels exactly the same as Oscar coming back to me. Always fell on him when we lost.

OO’s biggest problem is Pope has talked him up beyond his “Peter Principle”, and us fans just expect Pope’s extreme hyperbole to manifest itself on the court!

Oweh is not an All American, and he is not the SEC POY! He’s a slightly better than average role player, surrounded by similarly talented players at best. Oweh came back because he had to, he’s not ever going to play in the NBA.

I’ll also add, that Pope’s “world beater” schtick is going to grow old fast, if he doesn’t start backing it up, similarly to how Calipari’s did in his last several seasons!

We shot better than Louisville from the field, from 3PT range and from the FT line.
Eventually UK did. However, in the game of basketball it’s who shoots better and hotter early. One thing I do think makes a difference is the ball used. UL uses an Adidas ball. I notice a difference between the Wilson Evolution and Nike Pro when alternating between the two. CBB needs to standardize the balls used by all teams. It’s any wonder UL was shooting hot to start.

He's not a good fit for this team. We have no shooters and our passing is pretty bad

I agree. We looked the best with Chandler, Lowe, Aberdeen out there. There’s still a spot for Johnson and Oweh, but it’s hard to see without an elite shooting PG or PF, which we don’t have.

Maybe you split Lowe with Chandler and Aberdeen with Oweh. Maybe Noah, Jelavic, or Williams become that outside shot making presence at the 4.

Oweh is definitely struggling, no question.
He was our leading scorer last year and is back. When was the last time, our leading scorer returned returned the next season ??

He will be fine. He's our superstar. He's about 2 months behind due to the injury but he will come around. After last sesson I'll give Oweh the benefit of the doubt.

He still had 12 points even “hurt” yeah he didn’t play spectacular but the way everyone turns on a player around here is insane. I can imagine why guys don’t wanna return.
He also had five turnovers. We were better without him on the court last night. If he doesn't turn it over, he's fine even when not shooting well. He defends and rebounds well enough to still be a positive.
