TO: The City of Oxford
SUBJECT: You are OK and we like you for the most part
You have admirable qualities for the most part. You are OK. You are not the best in the world, the best in America, nor even the clear winner in the south, or even your state. While you are worthy of a top 40 mention, to believe you are the clear winner, even though 2 or 3 sources have subjectively ranked you #1, there are another 20+ reputable sources that don't put you in the top 10 and you don't even make others lists. Similar to your national championships of the 1960's, and the "great" Archie Manning, you should look for a general consensus instead of a single subjective opinion. The general consensus puts you in the top 40. Take this and commit it to truth, despite your personal nostalgia and opinion. You are OK.
Please stop claiming superiority each and every time you are down about your sports teams losing. You are clinging on to something that isn't there outside of your own little world and to the rest of the world it makes you look like you are in a panic to find a shred of pride to hold on to. Just stop. For your own sake.
