That's interesting.

Although I suppose it makes it more likely that the PAC-10 gets a team into the BCS championship game.

nobody in the South division will be challenging SC after 2012.. while Cal, Stanford, and even Oregon State all have pretty strong programs at different times

The schools are really spread apart. The state of California itself covers almost as much territory as the states that make up the SEC. Take a look at the interest and attendance for the ACC Championship game.

USC will still be feeling the probation and scholarship losses. Lane will probably still be coaching. 3 years from now is hard to tell but I feel USC is headed back to pre-Petey days for a foreseeable future.

is not a good move. San Fran, Oakland, Arizona, and Seattle would all be great locations to travel to watch your team try and win a title

Hold the champ game in 45,000 seat Reser Statdium (Oregon State)?

The PAC-10 still doesn't get it.

They will lose a tremendous amount of revenue over this when the small team happens to host the Championship Game...

Arizonaseats just over 57,000 people, and Stanford seats just over 50,000. How much revenue does the conference lose by not holding it in something like the Rose Bowl, which seats 50,000 more people thanthosestadiums hold? Have it in the Rose Bowl every year because they will fill the seats and generate more revenue. It would be like holding the SEC Championship game in Davis Wade. Would be great for us, but terrible for the conference in terms of money making. We have a good system for having it in Atlanta every year.
