Info I got from a friend of mine w Oregon ties…not an insider: Pac 12 expected to collapse soon. School presidents were initially sold deal ranging from 30 to 40 million per school. After coloardo left, emergency meeting was held with demand to view latest and best offers. Apple + offer 22 million per school. Now arizona, arizon state and utah expected to leave for big 12. Lots of podcast talking about how entire process was mishandled

Here’s more of what I’m hearing…

Pac 12 asked for 50 mil per team after usc and ucla left

Offer was 32 mil per team and pac 12 kept shopping

Big 12 jumped in and took it based off advice from their media consultant that anticpated shift and upcoming nba, wwe, ufc and other deals coming up. After big 12 took deal, pac 12 was last conference standing

Then pac 12 commish looked for more deals but didn’t update schools on numbers and status and had the schools believe they could still get deal on par or better than big 12.

Pac 12 schools were shown framework rather than numbers during last meetings during pac 12 media day. Colorado execs left media day immediately and had meetings which led to move to big 12

Yesterday, numbers finally given and its 22 mil per school plus incentives. No espn or fox. Only apple +

Arizona board met last night and will likely move to big 12. Utah and arizona st may follow

I think the MWC deal is 4 million a year, what a disaster for those two programs. The AAC is about 7 million, but that is a Southern conference for the most part.
