Lots of the places just put up a “for rent” sign, so driving around
is not a bad method for finding something. Neighborhoods are pretty mixed from
block to block. Many of the apartments that rent to students will have
leases that begin in July or August. In the Carrollton area where I live,
I’d look on Pine and Lowerline from S. Claiborne to the river, and
anything from St. Charles to around Willow between Broadway and S. Carrollton
or in the triangle between S. Carrollton, Oak St. and River Road (Leake
Ave.). Downriver from <span style="border-bottom: 2px dotted rgb(54, 99, 136); background: transparent none repeat scroll 0% 0%; cursor: pointer; -moz-background-clip: border; -moz-background-origin: padding; -moz-background-inline-policy: continuous;" class="yshortcuts" id="lw_1279510163_3">Audubon Park</span>, anything from St. Charles to the
river down to Napoleon is also mostly good. I’d steer away from much

it’s impossible to really delineate areas that are uniformely good or
