Offensive tackle Zach Streif is the short yardage tight end.
David Thomas is a decent pass catcher and is a better blocker and more willing blocker than Shockey. He also plays some fullback/h-back role.
Jimmy Graham is the up and coming star. The Saints really want this guy on the field a lot. He is a mismatch in the passing game. I see multiple Pro Bowls in his future.
If the Saints get another tight end (and I think they will), they will be looking for a bargain. They aren't going to spend the type of money they would have been spending for Shockey. I'm thinking $1.5 million or less.
