its probably in his best interest that UT loses. He must recruit Texas to be successful and Brown would have a title up on him.

In an eyebrow-raising flouting of Big 12 solidarity, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops showed up in Tuscaloosa as Nick Saban's guest at practice during December. The natural suspicion is that Stoops was helping Saban prepare for the Longhorns. According to Alabama media reports, the stated reason for Stoops' visit was to check out Saban's "practice organization."

I would have rooted for Florida had they made it, but I'm pulling for the Longhorns all the way since we sent Bama. I could give a rats arse about SEC dominance. Especially when said dominance would require Alabama winning it all. The way they act when they win has much less comedic value than when they lose.

so the likes of Terry Grant, Justin Woodall, Kevin Norwood, the Dicksons, etc will continue to go to Bama and LSU bc that's the only thing I see happening as a result of the SEC domination (other than BCS money which we get regardless of who wins the games)

The amount of sidewalk alums that have come out and put A flags and stickers on their cars is sickening. Go Texas

without SEC domination, we don't have a $45 million budget. At the same time, I hope the rest of the SEC goes for an 0-fer.

Don't get me wrong, I recognize the benefits we receive from being in the SEC but I have NEVER rooted for another SEC team in bowl games or OOC games (unless they're playing Notre Dame or Miami.. ie teams that I absolutely hate). That just makes them look more attractive to kids that WE need at State.

Screw Bama and any MS player that has crossed the border to play for them. Same goes for LSU and AU. I do, however, think the "leaking" is slowing down and most top players are staying in-state these days....though there will always be some who think they are too good to stay home.

in the bowl games (except Ole Miss because of in state recruiting). It is the SEC dominance (LSU, FLA, ALA) that has attracted the ESPN contract and we stand to benefit the most from such a deal. Look at it this way, if the ESPN contract distributes another 10 million to each school on average, for Alabama it represents about a 16% increase while for MSU it represents a 40% increase without any expenditures. Plus, Alabama already has the highest paid coach and top shelf facilities so it realizes a much more diminishing returns to scale in its implementation of the capital. I hate those bama rednecks as much as anyone but we are big winners in the current arrangement.</p>

is because we stick together for the most part. This is most definitely a case of a tide raising all ships. Lot's of kids want to play int he SEC. They don't pick a school right off the bat, they pick a conference. And sure, we are getting the short end of the SEC stick but just think how bad it would be if the SEC were another Conference USA! You really think we would be better off if the SEC is perceived as weak?

And as we proved with the Kang you can get your share of that SEC respect if you just win baby. And if you can keep winning you can move up into elite team status (although that is really damn hard to do). How long do you think Southern Miss would have to win to be called an "Elite Team" coming out of CUSA?

Anyone from MSU who doesn't root for the SEC is a $$*!%@# idiot. Now, if your hate takes you over and you can't stand to root for Bama I understand. Hell, in my mind I wanted the SEC to win the Cotton Bowl but my heart was pulling for the Cowboys. That being said anyone with any reason what-so-ever should be chanting S-E-C, S-E-C, while Saban holds that crystal ball aloft tomorrow night.

A Mississippian calling an Alabamian a redneck is like Mark Mangino calling Charlie Weis fat...

If Texas wins, it puts all of the SEC down (also further screws the rest of the SEC for all of the ref calls that Bama and Fla. got during the year.... If I'm going to screwed, I might as well get something out of it).

During the bowls I pull for all of the SEC teams...don't necessarily bet on all of them, but I do think what is good for them, is good for us.

Just my view.

I live in Alabama and seeing the bubbas come out the wood work is unbelieveable... The majority of the fans never set foot on campus. If the do, it during a non-conference game when tickets are available.

I'll be pulling for Texas and hoping they run up the score like Utah did...
