Goat Rod doing goat things. Bring him back ASAP. Like Pat said, no other WVU coach has had his intensity. WVU has become way too soft.

You mean the OC for the mighty ULM?!

Wow, has he f**king fallen.

Yet, WVU hired a clown coach that coached in the same conference as ULM.

GOAT Rod is still the most accomplished coach in WVU recent history (including Dandy Don). Like they said, during Rods time there, WVU expanded like never before and built new classrooms and updates due to increased revenue from multiple sources, all which stem back from his time and success at WVU. The whole WVU football culture changed for the worse when Rod left.

Yeah, that's not even kind of true.

You would think we WVU fans would move on from Fraud. "Hold the rope" frayed and broke with the Pitt loss on 12/1/07. Time to "trust the climb."

Fraud failed at Meatchicken and Arizona. What makes you think he would have success in the Big XII. Second acts do not work. That was proven at Pitt with Majors II and at Louisville with Petrino II.

Rod didn’t get any time to implement a culture change from the out of date system that Carr had at Michigan. Michigan and Brady Hoke can thank Rich Rod for their BCS bowl win during Hoke’s 1st year. No coach at Michigan (Harbaugh included) has accomplished what Michigan thought they should be accomplishing after forcing Carr to retire.
Rich Rod also took Arizona to a BCS bowl. When is the last time Arizona accomplished that in football (Answer would be 1993)? Also took them to a bowl game 5 out of 6 years. Kevin Sumlin took them to 0 and Stoops took them to 3 bowl games in 8 years. Rod also had Ole Miss scoring points, and it was their defense that couldn’t stop anything.

In conclusion, Rod may not have lived up to expectations at a Michigan, but then again, no one has. He also didn’t fail at Arizona (predominantly basketball school) and showed that he can still put together an offensive game plan like he did at Ole Miss.

Also shows what an idiot and a failure Mike Garrison was. Wouldn’t approve Rich Rod’s raise and extra money for assistants, yet gave Joe Manchin‘s daughter a fake MBA.

Well, Garrison was Manchin's choice to be president of WVU. It was payback to Poker Machine Boob Wise for him not running again in 2004 for Governor. Garrison was Wise's chief of staff. Manchin did more than his fair share of damage to WVU from holding a gun to Fast Eddie's head forcing the Marshall series right on down the line to the bogus eMBA degree he had Heather given.

Let me ask you a question. If Rodriguez is better than Brown (in your opinion), they why is he an OC at ULM? Who else considered him for a HC job after Arizona?

You make it sound so unfair when you leave off the request to allow the players to be able to sell their free text books ( clear profit ) and shoes they are given, etc.

My daughters coach played his college ball at VT. When he came home, he sold his glove and bats and pocketed close to $500.

RR was successful at WVU, but who knows if it would've lasted. He was on the cutting edge in 2001, but by 2011 schemes similar to his were common enough that defenses were not going to be as unfamiliar as they were during his early days. I'll admit this interview does make him seem like a likable guy, but it would be crazy to entertain bringing him back. Still too much bad blood with fans and donors. I wished he would've stayed, but with how he left and what he cost that 2007 team, that bridge was burned. Whether justifiably so or not, burned is burned.

Rod had the element of a unique system before the rest of the country had learned to completely defend it and we rose to an incredible level. He had momentum and he should have run that horse at WVU until it dropped. There would be a couple more BCS trophies in Morgantown and he could have moved on as the greatest HC at his alma mater. Greed...it's a killer.

PricRod is RESPONSIBLE
for the biggest failure in West Virginia
history.

PricRod didn't have the guts to come back to work, and accept responsibility for the Pitt loss.

PricRod left many souls in waste.

PricRod stepped over his own crank, protecting his own arrogance; thus,
convincing himself & WV fanbase
he created Football at WVU.

PricRod is sooooo stupid, he would have been on his way to the college football hall of fame, if he stayed at WVU.

PricRod will never return to WV.
