Towles will not be back next year at UK. He has the physical tools to play in the NFL So he ill transfer as 5th year senior and play at another school. Who knows he maay follow Maxwell Smith at San Diego State. Other possibilities are playing with Mike Leach at Wash St, Brohm at Western Kentucky. I am sure the Patrick will check out the current QB situation at different schools before deciding. One thing is for sure, the way the UK fan base has treated him, I don't blame Patrick for leaving and have a chip on his shoulder. Patrick ewill thrive under the right coach that utilizes his talents correctly and will be in the NFL after next year.

For those of yiu who think he can just transfer and play right away, you do realize that other teams have multiple QBs on the roster don't you? He will have to beat out those guys to play somewhere else too. Even if Barker starts next year, an injury puts Towles back in.

I love your posts for the most part but PT is a long shot, I mean a long shot to ever set foot on an NFL field. PT has had 3 years and is not showing much, sometimes you have to quit blaming the OL, OC, WR's, coaching staff.
You eventually just have to make plays and you have to get better. I mean if he goes to CIncy or somewhere and throws for 4000 yards and is borderline NFL pick than that is indictment on this staff.

I don't see it that he is going to set the world on fire.

Aside on this. I love the kid, he has handled this demotion with grace and class, he has been that way his whole career. No pointing of fingers, he has been a fervent UK supporter, I wish he was still starter in a perfect world, the local in state kid who bled blue. We all had our druthers than PT would be QB for next 2 years but it was time for a shakeup, this program needed a jolt. PT has just not played well at all.

Wouldn't shock me if he graduates and plays at another school with less pressure and with a system he feels good about. We shall see.
