PM’s complete lack of composure tonight was the topper to a month of pure mental and emotional regression. He was in total panic mode the last 2 minutes. He got away with at least 2 walks too.
Nothing like upperclassmen experience.

Part of me thinks Pike believes if he benches Paul it will only make him lose his composure even more. He needed a reset there at the end.
problem is besides simpson there is no one to take major minutes from him. Maybe oskar can steal a few more but he’s awful on d too but at least he can hit a shot

Paul has to be better. His decision making has to be better
he’s a turnover machine too. can’t even remember him making a decent pass tonight either . he’s playing tentative on offense and he stinks on d. he failed to block out as well on their last two to go down 1 for them

felt bad for paul after last game and all the hate, after that pass tonight when uo 3 with 15 seconds left i dont lnow what to say
It’s not hate, he’s been making too many mistakes to warrant the 35 MPG he’s been getting outside of the PSU game.

We can’t have him giving us fewer FG than turnovers and fouls when he’s playing 35 minutes, especially in late game scenarios when Simpson flashed last game

Pike is more loyal to Paul than any player on the roster he will never do it. This is part of the reason you should all agree not to want him back next year because Pikiell will not change his role/minutes. At least if Hyatt comes back Pikiell has no issue adjusting his role.

And it’s not just the offense. Getting killed all night on the other end and yet another silly foul on a 3 point shot

Tough situation because he’s a 4-year player that poured his heart and soul into this program, but he’s been hurting the team ever since the MSU game

we’re supposed to be a defensive team and paul is our worst defender and yet he’s getting minutes when we only need one or two stops to win.

Paul was never that good but the fans really wanted him to be good. Now we know the emperor doesn’t have any clothes on.

It's not like he hasn't shown he is capable of playing muhch better. Unfortunately his confidence is shot and the season is almost over
lack of confidence doesn't explain or excuse his awful defense. but, let's be real. Compared to Reiber he's Gary Payton or Bruce Bowen. Said it before, hologram Reiber is just as good as real Reiber.

Paul needs a sports psychologist. He is just mentally absent. Confidence is shot. Overthinking everything and it’s paralysis by analysis out there. Anyone know a witch doctor?
am not excusing the poor play, but he's not a talented player and I think expectations are too high. Especially since he's not a good PG. That's why he seems to always spit the bit against the press. His fault ? I guess so. But he's just not good enough so maybe it's as much Pike's fault for not developing/recruiting a competent PG.

The coach needs to recognize this player is pressing and needs to stop playing him as much. I get the bench not deep but it will be better for everyone if the offense doesn’t run through him.

I said a few days ago that he shouldn’t be put in the position we put him. Not talented enough. Needs to be a role player that hides out on offense and occasionally hits the corner 3 and some opportunistic plays.

Paul needs to go on 3 week darkness retreat with Aaron Rodgers

Skill-wise, he's an undersized 4, not a 1.
