Have they made an actual financial argument yet? Maybe they should get more? Maybe they shouldn't? What is the real financial situation for the owners of these teams?
It doesn’t matter what the owners financial situation is.

It matters what the organization is making or losing.

I just see sports as an entertainment business. If the NBA wants to spend funds to subsidize a business that cannot pay for itself, then they certainly have that right. I don't perceive any inherent right/wrong in the argument.
So you don’t think they are owed more?

The WNBA players are asking for more of a share of the money from the media rights and tv contracts. They don’t have the structure the NBA has as far as a share of the media revenue. Each year the NBA salary cap goes up based off the tv contract. The WNBA doesn’t have that structure. They aren’t asking to be paid as much as NBA players.
But they are asking to be faired an amount that doesn’t make financial sense.

Having read a bit more, this is somewhat is going on. I think.
WMBA has a contract that, they can vote to end, in 2025,, otherwise they are in to about 2028.
With this new TV contract, much more $ will start to roll in. So, they are opting to renegotiate.
(I'm not sure what all of the T shirt hoopla is over)
Getting publicity, I guess.

It's called Woke Responsibility. They feel the women need the help since they too were discriminated against early in U.S. history. It goes in the "Good Will" account on the books.
It's been going on since the 90s.. Wokeism infected NBA owners of the 90s?
...I would take a look at who those owners were because 'woke' isn't what I would use to describe the collective of NBA owners in the 90s.

I mean you pick.

either you are dumb or lying.
Okay. Mental drill for you. The SEC is a profit entity. A big one. Yet MSU is in the red often. You should know this being an MSU fan. NBA teams also finish in the red. League performance simply doesn't always tell the story for all member entities - which is why I asked the question. There could be some players (namely, Clark and a couple others) that could have a good argument they are underpaid from that perspective or from the rev share perspective.

Do you have the financials for the Fever? I assume you do since you have the answer for everything.

Additionally, these women don’t have the leverage of threatening to play internationally because those leagues don’t exist.
...except this isn't accurate, especially at the peak of talent and name draw in the wnba.
