A quarterback bootleg RUN was called, and if that play had been executed, NU would have had a win. That is factual.
RB thought it was a pass, was looking for the ball. Why? Did Riley mean it was a boot option, but he was told to run? Did TA not get the message to run? Why not call a time out to make sure the play was correct, and everyone-the RB, the TE that went in motion the wrong way, etc.?
We absolutely should have run the ball more, but is Tommy runs that play that was called, we win. We are not good enough to beat quality teams running all day, so Tommy needs real game practice throwing.
Is Illinois a quality team? We were averaging 5.5 yards a carry running 3.4 per passing attempt-why keep passing?
How was Riley to know about all of the holes in time to recruit Jucos?
Because the last two coaches-BC and BP got Juco's the first year they were here to fill holes-and they were hired the same time or later than MR-so why didn't he figure it out?
On the Hail Mary, we had plenty of defenders in the area. We needed a player to make a play. Knowing how horrible our DBs are, I would have had a couple big receivers in, as I have often seen NFL teams do
Interesting-you admit Banker f'd up-but it's still BP's fault? More of that Jedi Mind trick stuff?
