For those that don't care about reading. Bo Pelini let a navy officer on the sideline of the bowlgame and told the sailor that he would get to call one play on offense. This was announced publiclyat aluncheon with fellow sailors, coaches, and players. Turns out the navy officer never got to call a play. Was too scared to ask the coach if he was gonna get to call a play because Nebraska was loosing and Pelini looked mad. Then after the game Pelini said that it was all a joke and he was never going to get to call a play. The officer was from Nebraska and is a huge Nebraska fan.

Edited to fix link.

He should have never made the offer but since he did he could have gave the guya choice of three plays or something or let him do it at the start of the game. Crawfishing with a Military person really looks bad. That guy puts his life on the line almost every day when deployed. Should not jerk his dick like that.</p>

the dude seems super pissed about 100% of the time I've seen him.
(Easy for me to say here) He should have just let the guy call the first play of the game (or 2nd half) and get it over with.

It's not like the guy was going to call a worse play than Nebraska did without him.

Couldn't have said it better myself. What? Like they were lighting up the scoreboard that night. Hell, it might have got them going.
