House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., argued Thursday that Republicans are more responsible for the downfall of political discourse than Democrats a day after House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La., was shot during a practice ahead of the congressional charity baseball game.

At her weekly press conference, Pelosi was asked if she saw the "worsening in political behavior" equally in both Republicans and Democrats but she replied, "No, I do not."

She then listed out a series of examples of harsh political rhetoric from the right.

"We have a president who says, 'I could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and nobody would care,'" she said, referring to President Trump's campaign. "When you have people saying, 'beat him up and I'll pay your legal fees.' When you have all of the assaults that were made on on Hillary Clinton."

"For them to be so sanctimonious is something that I really I must — sad for myself that I've gone down this path with you because I don't think it's appropriate for us to have the first discussion of it, and it will be for another day," she said.

"Let's all say, 'let's examine our conscience, let's see how we can rid ourselves of our negative attitudes that go to a place that is like this,'" Pelosi said. "It didn't used to be this way."

You are really over the edge now. DJT is the unrivaled leader in this nonsense. If you won't acknowledge that, then there isn't much help. Hell he was calling his fellow republican primary candidates names from the beginning. But since you and your ilk worship DJT, it is OK. BTW, Pelosi is not a favorite if mine. She is pretty useless

Trump is certainly part of the issue (more so during the campaign), but nowhere close to the left in terms of vitriol or violence. Trump severed head on a stick. Trump's severed head held up by Griffin. The Dems constant barrage on Trump. The stupid play in NYC where Trump is killed. The Antifa thugs. BLM rhetoric. I could go on and on.

Enemy of the people!!

The main stream media is the enemy of the people. They have chosen sides and not reporting honestly. They are trying to change hearts, minds and votes in their direction. That is propaganda not fit in a democracy.
