Arkansas that started with State's win in Fayetteville last Jan. 10. Starting with that game, the Hogs have lost 23 of 32. UA went 2-14 in the Southeastern Conference last year.

From Veazey's blog. Wow didnt realize he actually went 2-14 (in a weak conference) last year. I thought this guy was supposed to be an awesome coach.

with dropping any coach in any sport. if we have that mentality we should just keep every coach we have forever.

Because winning forever would just be awful. We should definitely go chasing windmills.

as an AD you start improving the schedule to help your program become more nationally known. This is the plan for the future.

As far as Pelphrey, he is not a bad coach. But he has got to get control of that program. Allegations of rape (which most likely werent true but had to be dealt with anyway) and other off court issues are making it impossible to get stabilized and win some games. His fate because of all this may be sealed by the end of the season. Who knows.

Last year he started one of the youngest teams in the nation, and they fell apart at midseason. This year, players are missing games due to suspensions. His chick that plays PG has just played her first game the other day. No way to win with all that.

And before the sheep start in, yes, it is all on him. He is in charge.

Between making bad decisions, and being a bad coach.

Pelphrey is a bad coach. He also makes bad decisions, but his record clearly shows that he is a bad coach, that more than likely will be fired at the end of the year.

Stans is not a bad coach, he makes bad decisions sometimes, which leadto bad losses, but he is not a bad coach because bad coaches don't consistently win.

As I have said over and over again, I hope the people that complain about Stans win out and he gets fired. Could MSU hire someone better? Sure its possible, but just like Pelphrey or Stan Heath, it doesn't always work out.

At the end of the day, I think MSU is going to have a really good season somewhere between 12-14 SEC wins and probably a 6 seed or better.

They actually dont think Stansbury is succesful. They believe his whole career should rests on one weekend in March. They actually believe that Pelphrey and Stansbury are equal coaches or worse that Pelphrey is better.

Fell apart at midseason??? Dude they went 2-14. In other words we already have 50% of the SEC wins they had all of last season. 2-14 is not falling apart. It is a complete and utter miserable coaching job no matter how you slice it. If Stansbury had that kind of record this year, just one year away from making the NCAA tournament mind you, you would call for his head at 2-8. There would not be a next year.

You have, Billy Gillepsie, Stan Heath, John Pelphrey, Dennis Felton, Jeff Lebo, or something similiar.

When you aren't hiring a sure thing like Calipari or Roy Williams, the chances are you hit something like above as opposed to Bruce Pearl which you have used as an example on multiple occasions. Im not going to go run names down, but the fact that you only come up with Bruce Pearl is a pretty good indicator he is the exception and not the norm.

I wonder when the last time anyone else won only 2 SEC games was. Hell, even Bob Boyd's worst teams managed to win 3 SEC games. And believe me, it's almost impossible to imagine how bad those teams were if you didn't see them.

and the 2nd half is conference play. They had some pretty huge wins last year before conference play started

so dont tell me what I would do. Hell, he went 15-15 with a schedule of Chattanooga, Liberty, Holy Cross, Northwestern State, SW La, Akron...

Why? He had to play alot of true Freshman

Thats what Pelphrey had to do last year. At least they had Texas and Oklahoma on their schedule last year.

Pelphrey's problem is that they are not bouncing back and winning this year, which is what he really needed to do. Unfortunately, its been more because of off-court issues than on-court battles.

But aGAIN, dont tell me what I would do.

and for every Billy Gillepsie, Stan Heath, John Pelphrey, Dennis Felton, Jeff Lebo-

you have a Billy Donovan, Tubby Smith, Andy Kennedy (who definitely needs to make the NCAA's this year, but is winning 20 games a season at a ****** school), Mark Gottfried (had some success you cant deny), John Brady (2 SEC titles, a Sweet 16, and a FF), Lon Kruger, Jerry Green, Kevin Stallings (doing about as well as you can at Vandy)

still a 50/50 shot of making the tourney. I like having a 100% chance which is what we pretty much get with Stansbury.

This is a place for talking about how we're not happy with a successful coach, dammit!

Coach just won't give up on his stance that Pelphrey is a better coach than Stans even though the records show different.

Here are the coaches you named:

Donovan - You fail to take into account the fact that he took over the FL job which their facilities are second to none and his two national titles are on the back of 4 NBA players. He is a good coach, that benefits greatly from a great school and recruiting. That being said, the last two years he has been exposed as a coach that needs elite talent to win. This year is showing the same again.

Tubby Smith - Wait, are you talking about the UK hire or the Minn hire? UK wanted him fired because he didn't have enough tourney success and wanted to make the next step and fired him to get.......Billy Gillepsie. Now at Minnesota he has one tourney bid and one loss, but he is a solid coach that shouldn't have been fired at UK in the first place, but some out of control almuni made a rash decision, sound familiar?

Kennedy - I thought you said all of these guys had success in the NCAA? I thought I followed Ole Miss sports fairly close, and I really cant remember the trips to the NCAA tourney the last few years.

Gottfried - In 11 years, he went to the NCAA tourney 5 times. Got past the 2nd round once and never won the SEC conference.

Brady - In 11 years he made the tourney 4 times, and rode the back of Tyrus Thomas and Glen Davis to one Final Four. He also finished last in the SEC West 5 times. FIVE TIMES. LAST IN THE WEST. Let me remind you, Rod Barnes was coaching at Ole Miss during this same time span.

Kruger - Im a little confused by Kruger, he left Illinois that he never led them past the 2nd round of the NCAA tourney for the Atlanta Hawks, was a failure there, and went to UNLV where he has 2 NCAA bids in five years. Is that a good thing?

Jerry Green - I really didn't remember him, but in his 9 years of coaching he has one sweet sixteen and did a solid job for UT for four years then resigned.

Stallings - My favorite person on the list. How many times has he made the tourney at Vandy? 6? 7? That was my guess, I was wrong, THREE Times. Three. T-H-R-E-E. In TEN years he has made it to the tourney 3 times. I guess its not fair comparing Stallings to Stans though, since they play in different conferences... oh wait.

So these are the best case scenarios if you fire Stans. Sweet.

Im with coach on this one, lets go Ninja.

That Coach34 is more obsessed with Sweet 16s than pedophiles are.

ETA the "are" are the end for clarity.
