So PSU not going helps other teams financially
It depends on the other teams' expenses, the gap they need to fill to be break-even, and how they place. One way to view it is that PSU being out, likely means every other team places 1 position higher than with them in the field.

Still more money and if this was legit it would count on the records psu or not.

Start adding in the expenses, and the payout starts to become less appealing pretty fast. Very realistic rough estimate of $600 for round trip airfare, $300 for 3 nights accommodations, and $150 for meal allowance for 3 days. For 20 people total (16 wrestlers +3 coaches + 1 trainer) -> Total of $20K in expenses (10% of winnings). Headcounts and cost per person are probably low-ball.
Risk to early season injury wrestling multiple matches in short period layered on top.
Upside nowhere enough to offset the downside.
Winning team needs to walk away with minimum of $500K to even consider it. Remember, every top 25 wrestling program lost money, most by significant margins. $200K would help make the gap smaller but it would not come close to closing it.
Each team gets $20k, aside from the prize money. Travel expenses should not be an issue.

I disagree with Nomad on this. If $$ were the only consideration, his point is valid. If focusing on being ready for March is the main consideration, then $200,000 is not such a big deal.

This is no surprise but since Penn State nor the National Duals Invitational folks would comment on it, we had to wait until today to confirm what the expected: The Lions are not going to the November tournament in Tulsa:
