That was fun. This team is scary good. Most good teams still have a spot or two where the opponent can catch their breath and maybe pull out a win but this team is stacked top to bottom. Even with Desmond at 141. The middle weights especially are just so damn good. SVN, Duke, MM, and Levi has to be the most fearsome 4 straight in college

Tying up & pushing near the center. Olson shoots, but can't get there. He gets double unders again, but Nate fights him off. Nate shoots, but can't get there. He tries a fireman's carry, but can't finish. Olson gets to a leg, but Nate rubber knees out. Olson shoots, Desmond gets a front headlock & drives Olson out of bounds, neutral restart. Circling, hand fighting, snaps & tying up. Nate takes Olson to the edge. Olson throws in double unders, then the period ends. 1-0 Nate

Period 3:
Olson takes down. He works to his feet, but Nate lifts him off the mat & brings him back down. Olson gets back to his feet, turns & gets the escape, 1-1. Blood time stoppage. Olson has a nose bleed. Circling & hand fighting. Olson looks for an underhook, but Nate works out of it. Nate with some snaps. He tries a drag, but Olson gets a bodylock. Nate fights it off, then drops to a leg on the edge, but Olson kicks free. Out of bounds & restart, 44-sec left. Stall warning on someone, maybe Nate? Nate shoots a high-C, then doubles off & finishes the TD, 4-1. Great job Nate! Nate rides out the period.

For the record, all of the folks at Flo have consistently said that Penn State is by far the best team and a lock for the national championship. The Flo rankings are based on the results that have occurred this season after initially being set by last season's results. Since Marcus and PJ had no college results last year, they needed to win a few at the college level to establish themselves in the rankings. Further, Flo had removed all wrestlers who had no matches this year from their rankings a week ago which accounts for Conner being in and Josh not listed. Finally, the team rankings are computed mathematically based on the individual rankings which is why they were what they were.

Rankings improve with time as the season progresses and tonight's results will dramatically impact the next set of rankings on Flo.

The overreaction of many on this board to the early results has been a bit childish.

Kind of remind me of the days when JoePa had the Thursday radio show and there was an endless parade of people calling in with suggestions like, uh hey coach, big fan, following you for a long time. Uh, I have a question, I've noticed that on third day the tight end seems open a lot. Do you think we will be using the tight end more, maybe on a curl in pattern?

Just once I wish he'd have said what's this "we" ****.

I don't know what Desmond's career will look like when he's done, but the kid's a scrapper without no quit button.

Kid wrestled defensive all match. Also do beat the Stanford 125 today so may be a better wrestler than most thought.
