Was it me or did he defensive pin himself for a moment there? No ref would be in position in time to call it, but he was flat, and he did the same turtle on to his back three separate times. No bueno against top 5 competition. I am sure they will work on it, and it's not like Davis doesn't do similar things. It be fun to watch them roll in practice.

I used Weller Special Reserve(green label). If I’m going to mix it with something, I don’t use expensive bourbon. I had a nice pour of Weller 12 year after the match.

As a scientist ("doctor" of exercise physiology) who works exclusively with physicians in a medical facility, who's had multiple concussions from football and jiu jitsu, and dealt with countless from involvement in MMA ...I wouldn't claim to know d*ck about TBIs.
You could see how he was wrestling that Haines wasn't 100% sure for a few minutes. Then he locked in and it was game over.
I was of the opinion that Haines had kind of hit his athletic ceiling (he's not incredibly explosive and is not long for his weight class) and maybe didn't have the chops for a successful international career, but (as the commentators mentioned) he's improved dramatically. Mesenbrink may not be a lock for the Hodge, Haines is a different wrestler this year.

If the goal were to entertain all of us, then, yes, we would be at the National Duals and enter Cliff Keen. But Cael's stated wish is to help each kid reach his goals, and at that, he is doing a great job..

Levi laying prone on the mat makes the multi match, multi day National Duals as a first event of the year, reminded me of why that event might be ... unwise.
That said just the thought of dual against PSU can cause injury to other teams let alone running the gauntlet.
You’re not wrong, but they have also built the program to the level where “load management” is a luxury they can afford. You could go down to Tulsa, cap every wrestler at 2 matches, and get all your redshirts some great competition while counting only as one event. All while getting to roll in wearing the black hat and snatching 200k from DT to say, “look at me, I’m the Paycom now.”

I can't hear Randy Travis' name without thinking of his naked DWI arrest several years ago not far from where I live in North Texas.
I suspect Oklahoma woke up this morning also feeling hung over and a bit like they veered off a roadway and drove into construction zone barricades last night in State College.
