Cole cuts Duthie, 9-3. Collar ties & hand fighting in the center. Cole presses forward. He reaches for a leg, but can't get there. He gets to the leg on another shot & elevates it, then back trips Duthie to the mat for the TD, 12-3. Cole cuts Duthie, 12-4. Cole hits an outside trip for another TD, 15-4, then cuts Duthie, 15-5. Don’t hate it could be lol I led my team and set the school record for escapes in high school lol over half of which came my freshman year. Dan Vallimont took me down like 9 times in 3 minutes without breaking a sweat

I was a well below average wrestler in high school. But one of the things the sport left me with was a real affinity for sports where the competitor — win or lose - has to lay it all out and is just spent at the end of the day. Wrestling, rowing, cycling, anything on cross country skis.
To do that, as a group, successfully, for this long…just wow.

In today's crazy world of college sports the 77 win streak is a fantastic accomplishment. With most of the wins coming under the 9.9 scholarship restrictions and the transfer rules change. It created an opportunity for the other teams to benefit and reload the lineups to level the competitive gap . Some how Penn State has widen the gap against most teams.
