Congratulations to all on the board here for demonstrating resilience in the face of the adversity of knowing we sucked for the last two weeks per one ranking algorithm. Years from now we will laugh about it. Once again it has been proven, all things shall pass.
I gotta give a shout out to the Flo announcers last night. Their technical info about specific moves really helped with the PBP. I don't know all the names for each shot or move, but if someone calls them out, I can add them into the PBP. Pyles & the other guy did a fantastic job on the mic last night! You can thank them for a lot of the technical info I put into the PBP.

Yeah, it’s a darn shame that we weren’t wrestling the likes of Northeastern State, Central Oklahoma, and Southwestern Oklahoma, etc.. sometimes twice a season.
Different eras, but given the strength of the B1G, the new record is legit no matter who is on our OoC schedule.

It's was Pyles and the other guy was Cliff Fretwell he doesn't work for Flo he does stuff for Frank and Journeyman. I worked that event while it was in FL and called some duals with Cliff he makes it fun and is very knowledgeable
Cliff has always been better than all the flo guys at play by play . He’s very knowledgeable but also describes the technical stuff in the simple ways
I think the Max number of wrestlers is 6 for not using a date. I doubt Barr goes , he could always do PA tournament if needed. Thinking Asher, henkle , and other young red shirts.

As of December 20, 2025, Penn State holds the NCAA Division I record for most consecutive dual meet wins with an active streak of 77 matches. Their last loss was on January 31, 2020, against Iowa.
Over their last 135 dual matches, the team's performance has been overwhelmingly dominant, including their current record-breaking win streak and a previous 60-match win streak which ended in November 2019. This means they have only lost two dual meets during that general timeframe.

I know you guys like to rag on Pyles, but I always like listening to him on the mike during big matches. I think he has been great for the sport in general. I do wish Flo radio live still had Askren because he made it funny.

Based on what Coach Cody told a group of us at the PSWC pre match social before the Lehigh match, the plan is to send ten wrestlers to the Scuffle.
Coach Casey will be leading the team.
And I had the misfortune of driving from San Diego to see us lose to Arizona State for my one and only in-person Penn State dual meet : (

Pyles is a great moderator type. They could use a bigger personality type on FRL. Shoot even offer Cliff Fretwell, that would make things more interesting.
No, misfortune is coming from central PA to Tempe to witness the first loss in 60 matches. At least I got to experience Las Vegas, Zion, Bryce Canyon, Arches, Canyonlands, and the Grand Canyon.
So for pinning an all American 6th ranked guy you get 3 extra points?
I'm in the other camp, I feel they get too technical for the non serious wrestling fan. They also use regional names for moves and holds.
How many non serious wrestling fans do you figure were watching on a wrestling streaming site?
