Mirasola at Heavy was always going to be dicey with his weight. His finishes are lacking right now.

Tough ones for the Mirasola’s. Both struggling to finish. Is Barr close to coming back?
Byers said Barr is nearly ready and is expected to wrestle-off against Connor Mirasola in the next couple weeks. But I take all injury-related info about PSU wrestling, even from Byers, with several large grains of salt.

So Cole having trouble finishing is an actual real thing that doesn't have to do with being out weighed. This time he was at 229 while Carroll was at 231 and the exact same issue again. Can't finish anything and gets taken down because of it. How do you fix that? I don't know

I do think Christian Carroll is a thing at 285 but yeah I had more bearish expectations on Cole this year (thought he was very draw dependent to AA)

F that. Let him develop. Kids a tough kid. Last week and again this week he was in on shots that 99% of times are takedowns. Let him get stronger and more reps. He’ll be fine
He will definitely improve but I think we see a pattern now. The Lehigh kid was enormous but this kid was about the same weight and the problem still there. Again I don't see a fix for this that doesn't include a full year of weight gain of around 10-15 pounds. But let's see if they don't find a way around this, season still young. Agree no desire to portal the weight out, hang in there and try to get around it

Yes agree. I think Desmond will beat him. Way better on his feet. Just needs to get up to and 145 to wrestle 141. Hitting the weights would help big time

Let's not get carried away. The kid he beat today is winless on the year with 4 of 6 losses by bonus.

Good for Nate, but a RS would benefit him more than wrestling up 2 weights

I know Cole has won the wrestleoff but it might be worth a look.

Yep. Can't hurt to give Lucas a crack at it next week and then see where things stand. The thing is that I know damn well I have seen this issue before and they basically just fix it, but here it might take more time than what this season will allow.

Ok ok I know we won 40-7 and I shouldn't be complaining, but I'm going to anyway lol. There are 2 things that are bothering me.

1. Rocco's lack of offense is concerning. If he can't score on Neithenback how is he ever going to score on Ferrari/McEnelly? He made it to the finals in 2024 with three straight OT wins. I hope he doesn't expect that to happen again.

2. I really think Cochran should get a shot at HWT. He lost to Cole at the Black Knight after leading the majority of the match. It's becoming very clear where Cole's ceiling is so why not give Cochran a shot?

Rocco is exactly who he was at the OSU.
Low scores but he wins. Who can argue with that? I'm grateful he's wearing a PSU singlet!
