Flood is a terrible coach. Why isnt Rettig playing (as if he's the savior)..crap needs to stop

Everyone seems to be so worried about the offense when the issue is our pathetic defense, especially the secondary. The secondary was crap to begin with, but then losing a bunch of starters blew our chances for the year. Did you guys seriously have any hope? I dont know why teams even bother running the ball. Coaching isn't going to change much of anything when we're this devoid of talent. We need to recruit better, that is all. If that takes hiring someone new then fine, but to blame our performance and losing on coaching is stupid.

The coach is responsible for the recruits so blaming the coach is not stupid at all. Many people worried that we would be in exactly the situation we are in based on the early days of Flood's recruiting

The "Your son is going to become an outstanding young adult because of a Rutgers education/graduation rate, high ethical standards and close knit program and family support" recruiting message will no longer work due to the arrests and Rutgers policy on professor communications fiasco. Certainly, Flood was never able to sell recruits and their parents on solely winning football games, Rutgers football tradition/culture and/or football facilities without the "your son will grow up to become an outstanding adult and person" piece of the message which would resonate more with parents.

They've rendered Flood null and void on the recruiting component of the job. Personally, I don't entirely blame Flood for the position he finds himself in. However, because of the past events and consequences that he will face on the recruiting trail, it's time for him to go and if not this year, surely next year will be his last.

Forget the defense for a minute, yes that is a problem. We do too many things wrong in all facets of the game. Missed pats, kick offs out of bounds, fumbled snaps, illegal formation, etc. None of these things involve the defense

You have to blame the Coach its his program! That's why some are successful and some are not. Flood is NOT good in a number of areas. It is very much his fault! All the rest are just excuses. Boise state Successful. Rutgers broken. Same quality recruits Period. But if it makes you feel better to blame something else have at it. Bottom Line Its broken.

It's not his program. It's the university's program run by the governing bodies and supported by its internal and external stakeholders. It's a business that, at this time, is being poorly run.
