hiring an architecture firm to put on paper a long range plan for our athletic facilities. Getting closer than I thought to upgrading and expansion, perhaps ?

I hope Byrne makes sure to keep a few million in our pocket. With the way this season is shaping up we might need a large disposable amount of cash pretty soon.

Club seats and boxes.

Never underestimate the money a blue hair gives to support those cheap student seat ticket prices.

why don't we make it semi-club level now. Offer free food, a locker, etc w/o the heating and cooling and TV's. Maybe sell the seats for $500/seat plus the price of the season ticket.

increase the price and offer more. It's quick and easy until they do the renovation.

...to set up for the food and such.

Also, get ready for some of those blue-hairs and the majority of our lard-*** fan base at the top of the lower level west side flip the #%$+ out that they have to actually climb the stands rather than stroll up the walkways on the side.

I agree, I think any expansion to the stadium should focus on premium seats and suites only. But, I also know that I'm one of the few that can't afford to sit in those seats that feels that way.

Our fanbase has this amazing sense of "I've given my $250 every year for 30 years, WTF do you mean you won't give me the best seats!"

To repeat the only rumor I ever posted here, I understand that over the summer, Byrne visited USM and got a tour of our football expansion from Richard Giannini.

if we ever want 7 home games or to avoid playing in Ruston again. Not trying to hijack the thread, but saw an interesting article on another board saying schools in the Sun Belt were told by their commish to not accept money games at BCS schools for less than 1 million and that BCS schools should be paying 2 million. If the SB is asking 1 to 2 million for a home only game now, who knows how much the MAC, WAC, or C-USA schools are.

We know how LT handled the price rising, but I wonder how Byrne will handle paying out almost double the most we ever have? Looks like the cash from the TV deal is going to be spent before we get it.
