Give him a. 17 block... Dear god I am so tired of hearing how Perkins is the problem... Down field blocking is a problem block a linebacker for once... Before blaming it on the RB have so e since and watch the blocking... For the love of God understand football and know that RB have to cut back and when there are people in your face you have to make cuts.

You'd have a point if Perkins didn't trip every damn time he cut tonight.

Ou may have a point if you ever understood football. I think it is cute how you believe a 5'7" RB in the SEC should take a majority of his 17'n carries in between the tackles. If you honestly believe that that's how we should use him you belong on the Mullen staff.. Congratulations enjoy your salary while you still have it. Use him like you used

Blame Mullen for playing him to begin with....

But damn, LDP made an *** out of himself by slipping all night. Had nothing to do with blocking a linebacker.

RBs cut. All of them. Nobody slipped behind the LOS besides LDP.

Would love to agree or disagree but I never saw him make a cut in the game. I saw him slip down every time he tried to cut. Guess he couldn't go to longer cleats.

I would have to agree with HOW Mullen has played him. Especially this year! Yes La'Darius hasn't had the best year. I think it's more of a personnel decision rather than an in particular players fault... Maybe that's just the fifth of whiskey talking (but that's what I always say)

You obviously have no insight into the history of this board. I give up. Tonight has reminded me why I left suxpackspeak to begin with.

I understand completely... I would like to see the to see the formation start In a double barrel gun with both Dario and Robinson in the backfield then either send Perkins in motion or send him out in the flats which would have to pull a LB out of the box I think it would help both Dario and Robinson...

The TV crew even commented about all of the wet floor signs everywhere...

Running a back like LDP against bammer was idiotic. He is ineffective on a normal night on this team.... But tonight was a recipe for disaster with him. And he was our featured back tonight.

Mullen makes way too much money to come up with **** like this from week to week. He is in over his head as a HC. At this point, I find it hard to justify bringing in expensive help for him. We always have 2/3 of our team playing at their worst against good teams. Always. Without exception, that I can remember.

I have no say in any of this, but I can't see how we will ever get ahead with him here. His deficiencies were clear in year one. He has not progressed at all. Relf getting tackled by a girl scout against Auburn was the end of him, and that was over 2 years ago.

But, I digress.... Had a few beers tonight and love seeing my words on the interwebs.

Perkins is the easiest primary RB to tackle I think I have ever seen at MSU. At least in 20 years.

I'm guessing that Alabama's big, nasty defense had a thing to do with Perkins having slippery feet. Lots of running backs lose their footing against the Bama defense.

I don't think it's so much he's the easiest to tackle. When I watch him run, I don't think he can see the hole (a la D.Walker - not Doak**). He appears to want to hide behind a lineman like he's on a screen pass.

It looks like he had too much tape on the ankles and not enough cleat for the damp grass.

Perkins had the same problem at Texas A&M. He must have fallen at least 6 times. I wondered in both games why at the half they did not give him longer cleats. I told my wife it looked like he was playing in dress shoes with a leather sole. Another problem is that he does not run very good in the middle. He is much better catching the ball out of the backfield and on the read option plays.
