We naturally lean on money as a motivator, and it probably is to an extent, but I do have an honest question in regards to NIL and guys on his level:

Just how much money can he reasonably fetch? Reason I’m asking is that there has to be a cap on what he’s worth and I wouldn’t think the floor and ceiling for his NIL value are only so far apart (no offense to him, of course). I can’t see a school paying hundreds of thousands, so we would be talking in the tens of thousands difference, perhaps?

Kinda weird decision as he won’t play a ton there either, barring injury. I’m sure he could pick up more endorsements on his own in Lexington than in Oxford. Only thing that makes sense is him being told you probably will not play anything more than cigar minutes even as a senior. And if he wants more playing time he can transfer to WKU or wherever any time in the next two seasons.

It has to be about $$ but I really don't know- how is he gonna play any more at Ole Miss than his home state school where he was loved and was a HS legend- to not be heard from again IMO
Because he was 13th on our roster
This isn't hard to fig out
He will be top 8 on their roster and a big piece before he leaves

He was going to maybe play 3 minutes a game here. Don’t know why so many of you think he won’t play much more at Ole Miss than he would have here.

Seems odd Beard would have recruited him so hard twice and have very glowing things to say about Perry if he had no intention of giving him a solid opportunity to play. Obviously, it's up to Perry to earn the minutes through production, but I highly doubt Beard would have wasted the time and resources twice for a bench warmer.
Well Beard did say Askew would be an all time great after he went to play for him after leaving UK.

Well at the end of the day, maybe he doesn't care as much about UK as we think. Maybe this can be when we stop hoping to give preferential treatment to in state kids, just because they might have been to a few UK games as kids. Because its clear Perry really didnt care ALL that much about playing for UK in the end.

Beard is very high on him.

ps - harder feelings toward Sheppard than Perry. I wonder if Sheppard would have transferred to Arkansas?

Perry is just trying to find the floor.

Because he didn't want to sit and watch basketball? Any person that has a chance at playing is a loser if they don't take it.

Because I'm not a 13 year old kid first n foremost

Real classy statement! Can't understand why someone always gets in the gutter. I hope the kid super succeeds except the games against us. I hope he puts 50 on Arkansas & TN.

Sports is about rooting for your team and rooting against the other team. Not that hard to understand. Quit being snowflakes
