my perspective is simple: if KJ and Herro had decided to return, we could be looking at 40-0 and a NC! NOW, we are plowing the same ground all over again! My enthusiasm has been sucked away. This 'new' era of college basketball everyone is debating is just symptomatic of a flawed, outdated, hypocritical system of amateur athletics.

So many here keep arguing and longing for something that no longer exists and hasn't for much longer than you care to admit. How many threads are really needed to rehash this?

There’s two types of people out there: Those who adapt with the times because they know they can’t control a changing world OR those who constantly live in the past and get pissed off because they can’t control the changing world around them.

I would love for lottery picks to stay 3-4 years like they did 25 years ago, but it’s not going to happen. So, whining about it on the internet isn’t going to change that fact.

There's no continuity from one year to the next. I've also been a UK fan for 40 years and the way it's done nowadays just flat out sucks!

Yeah I know we had an injury or two, but a team that had their heart in it wouldn't have missed a beat. They would've used that as a motivator. We see it every year with other teams.

Heck Auburn proved that to us this year in the tournament.

Winning is continuity and we are winning better than any other program under cal. 2017 Higgins happened and we were still a last second shot from a final four! 2014 we lose a close title game with Higgins as a ref and WCS injured! Higgins happened again in 2015! Even this season an undersized auburn team know for fouling and who had committed 30 fouls at the 11 min mark of the second half had 2 guys with 4 fouls and not one foul was called on them the last 9 min of regulation. Circumstances beyond Cals control happened and guess what no top five guys on the 17 team off the 19 team who were playing the best ball in the country to that point. If u actually watch basketball and saw the fouls that took RT out in the second half and pj out the first half and say we didn’t deserve to win that game then wow
