The Athens Banner Herald reports that the university's athletic director Damon Evans responded that the <span style="font-weight: bold;">letter makes good points and deserve consideration</span> but he promised no action.
The letter mentions common issues that many bulldogs face and the was probably referring to those. Any good AD would choose his words carefully and then go about picking a new mascot.
