and he isn't leaving, period. Apparently going to the Poinsettia bowl after a 12-0 season and living in Boise is good enough for him.
in my opinion. I was looking for any hint in what he said or how he said it that would indicate he is leaving or even thinking about leaving, but didn't hear it. Did you? I've held out hope that we would get him, but after hearing that interview, I'm moving on. Too bad there aren't any other candidates of his caliber out there.
because I do believe he was the most surefire candidate out there that we might would have a legitimate shot at. If its just that he didn't want to come our way I can live with that, but I'm just sick thinking he was halfway here and then possibly got cold feet because of the leak leading to the internet frenzy.
is I get the feeling that we had a handshake deal, then for whatever reason he changes his mind. There were just too many people "in the know" claiming he was coming to Starkville for there to have been nothing to it.
I hear the conversation now:

when Petersen's first experience with an MSU support site was Gene calling up the secretary asking "Is Coach Petersen really a Scientologist?" Probably figured if that's where the priorities were for the fan base he would pass.
and they say that our negativity affects the program in a bad way.
The next time one of those holier than thou punks in the stands tells me not to say something negative, I'm going to tell them I probably wouldn't if people like you hadn't run off Chris Petersen.
