I just read the police report from the captain and he said that Petrino said, "a gust of wind must have caused the wreck". Hmmm! I don't ride motorcycles, but if anyone on here does, can a normal gust of wind do this?

on road bikes so feel somewhat qualified. A "normal" gust should have little effect. However, a gust through mountain passes can be very dangerous especially if the rider is not very experienced. If it was a full dresser, the fairing can catch wind like a sail. Add a trunk, bags, and passenger then strong gust may really blow you around. Note: winds in the Ozarks are not nearly as tough as in the Western mountains. Bottom line is: what difference does it make? Caught is caught.

That's not completely true. I havebeen riding Motor bikes since I was 16. I have had two Harleys in my life. A 92 low ryder and a 05 Fat boy that I sold two years ago. The fat boy had solid rims and passing 18 wheelers or high gust of wind was problematic. I got a lot of experience on a bike and I am very careful and trust me the wind can in certain circumstance cause you to wreck. One other note there are two type of riders. Those who have wrecked and those who are going to wreck. I have laid two bikes over in my life and I was lucky both times. You can be the safeness biker around and still getT-Boned by some Grand Pa in a Cadillac. I think theCoach Pis a snake in the grass for cheating on his wife if that's what he did but if he did not break the law or broke some moral clause in his contract there's probably not much they can do to him. Plus as long as he keeps Arkansas in the hunt every year anything short of pictures with him and some little girls comingouthe is Golden in Arkansas.
