Petrino is 6-5 playing in the ACC. He would 3-8 in the SEC.
The way I look at it we're 5-5 now. Win two of those losses and that puts us at 7-3. Don't know what I posted but that's the way I look at it. Point being Stoops has brought us along better than most give him credit for.

Anyway, what he did against Arkansas is not relevant to the question regarding how he would fare in the SEC with Louisville. With the Louisville team of this and last year, he would probably hover around .500 in the SEC East and would be dead last in the SEC West.
Just pointing out that he coached in the SEC and with his 3rd class posted a 6-2 Record in that league...We don't know what he would do with Louisville in the SEC...That is a hypothetical...Louisville is not in the SEC...they don't have the SEC Label on the recruiting trail or the $$$ that SEC Schools receive from that league which is an advantage those schools have over the Big XII, ACC & Pac 12...nothing more nothing less...we know what he has done in the C-USA, BIG EAST & NFL....FTR His ACC Record is 11-5 not 6-5...just sayn

Thanks for the correction...last year the defeats were UVa, Clemson and FSU...for some reason forgot about the UVa loss in 2014.

He beat a 2 win ole miss, 5 win Tennessee, 6 win vandy, 7 win miss st, 8 win Auburn, 11 win usc, and got blown out by LSU and Bama. He had one good win. The SEC west was not what it is now.
His ooc wins were missourI state, troy, new Mexico and a 7-6 A&M team.

You should not forget that loss! It was a very, very bad one! Even 'I' am still mad about that one, and I am not even a Louisville fan!
Point being...by his 3rd season in the SEC with 3 of his recruiting classes he won 6 SEC games in 2011...4 of which were SEC Bowl Teams....his only losses came to teams that played that year for the BCS Title...
You're right...Petrino blew that game and really the worse loss was at Clemson...still shaking my head on that.
One last thing on this thread...Stoops beats us tomorrow all will be forgiven...you will be bowl eligible and progress will be shown...and again for the record would not be surprised if UK wins tomorrow...not really impressed with Petrino this year.
Then James Franklin must be a much better coach than petrino according to that logic.
