I'm keeping my eye on this Friday's game, Martinsburg vs Stone Bridge. could SB start their season 0-2?
Is this a typical Martinsburg team this year?
All I can remember is HS laying down the hammer on them at their place!
And is Stone Bridge usually a 'slow starter' to the season, which is clicking on all cylinders by season's end?

Stone Bridge could start the season 1-4 actually if they lose this Friday (with road games against QO & GC still looming). Even with that, I still think they would be my pick for Regional Champ and a good chance to win in the state semi’s. Whoever gets Maury (assuming they make it all the way) in the final will have their hands full.
Madison made the plays when they needed to this past Friday. The 99 yard kick-off return with a pitch was executed perfectly. Madison is one of the best teams at executing trick plays in the state (see Oscar Smith final 2 years ago). Stone Bridge outgained Madison 344-210 in scrimmage yardage but in a tight scoring contest you can throw that stat out the window.
Martinsburg will be a tough road test particularly since it sounds like they have improved since last year. I will go out on a limb and guarantee a Bulldogs win

I see where Martinsburg beat Clarkson North 35-7, but the lead was 22-7 entering the 4th quarter.
And the Bulldogs are usually a very tough out at home.
