I hate to be the negative ***, but I think we may be the only SEC loss. Nothing Wilson showed me this year makes me think we can stop a spread passing game. Hopefully the extra time to prepare helps.

Well, it's a good thing that we are facing a spread RUNNING team in Northwestern.

Well, it's a good thing that we are facing a spread RUNNING team in Northwestern.

Have you watched Northwestern play? They run the ball a ton, yes, but they throw quick slants and quick hitting timing routes to open up the running game. They also managed to throw for over 2000 yards this season out of that RUNNING spread. We threw for about 2900 with a heavy pass or 50/50 offense. So in response, if you think they're rolling in to Jacksonville with Auburn's passing attack, you would be wrong.

That is a 30% difference in passing yards, not really small potatoes.

Oh, I completely agree...I'm just saying they aren't unable/unwilling to pass. And when they do, it's quick timing routes which we have shown an inability to defend well this season.

I've always thought SEC teams would win the bowl games, and I've been wrong a bunch of times. I'm predicting 5-4 SEC and I have no idea which games will make me right. Bowl games are hard to predict from the start. It's a very novel experience, not at all like the regular schedule.

Nobody but MSU, Ole Miss, and Vandy should be at risk, and I would say that's the order of most likely to lose. I can only hope that we spend the next month trying to figure **** out on defense. Even though our offense lost it's mojo, I think it will be ok against a non-sec defense.
