I don't have the experienced pedigree that some of you must have in football Xs and Os but I still trust Mullen and his decisions and I like this team.
Two plays in the last 10 seconds?Shotgun instead of under center? I would bet that 99% of you thought he had scored when he turned the corner. The Smith kid made one hell of a hit. It took perfection and he pulled it off.Plus Mullen must have practiced from under center on goal lines for a long time. I will trust his decisons in those situations.
Not used to being a favorite on the road in a big game, Early jitters put us in a hole. Thelack of a experienced defense cost us the game.The game changer was the big TD play when we had them 3rd and long with a 21-14 lead. Iwas already thinking 28-14 because Auburn had no answer for our offense. But that play sucked some wind out of our sails.We did recoverand I think that shows we have a good team and we will get better. I think we get better as the year goes on and the coaches andplayers make the adjustments.
I hate the loss to Auburn but my gut says we are tuned for better things and we are going to give LSU one hell of a game. I think the kids are following Mullen and he is going to lead us to a lot more wins.We have things to work on but we also have the right head guy to make it happen and I think we have the kids with the right attitude to do everything they can to make him successful.
