Game moved to Cherokee tonight at 7:30. Just thought some of the Cherokee prep fans might want to know since Cherokee is open tonight.

Wow Cherokee lucked out on their BYE Week! They didn't have to worry about playing in this mess and get an extra football game out of the whole deal. This should be a fun one to watch for all 3 teams!
That's what Turf is all about. Can basically play 24/7 on it. Kudos to Cherokee and Hayesville for stepping up and taking the lead in the area. Turf is being used all over the country, colleges and Pro's alike!
I am glad you got turf and most SMC teams could have it. I hope we don't though. I like grass and I will always be against turf and a track around the field.
The turf is good on weeks like this but like you I miss the grass and mud.I went to a game in Robbinsville several years ago when they were playing Rosman.Brett Chapell was playing for Rosman ,so you know that's been a while.It was raining and the field was nothing but mud.Robbinsville won.I understand they still call that the mud bowl.Still miss those kind of games in Canton.But I guess times are changing.
