Very competitive game. Both teams played well it sounded like. Brevard may be a force in the conference they are in.
Good competitive game. Brevard’s running backs, # 5 and #9 are both good. We played well on offense, but just couldn’t finish it at the end.I’m telling you at the jamboree at Polk last Saturday brevard looked good !! And that #5 kids is going to be hard for teams to stop
Judging from the JV game Thursday evening, Brevard may be hard to beat for quite a while. They have some real players on that team too. Pisgah and Brevard should play every year as they historically have IMO. That goes for Tuscola too. These teams are are just the definition of natural rivals.Congrats Coach Coleman on his first career W. Wasn't too sure what to expect from Brevard this year with the coaching change and only having 4 seniors, but hopefully tonight gives them confidence. Good luck Pisgah the rest of the way.
Robbinsville 32 Brevard 7. Good thing Pisgah isn't in the Smoky Mountain Conference!Spoke with some people that went. They said it reminded them of typical mid to late 90’s Brevard/Pisgah game. Just smash mouth and very physical. They said Pisgah will be fine, young but very talented. They came away very impressed with the Blue Devils. Said both offensive and defensive lines were very stout and the rushing attack just pounded all night. Reminded them a little of the Manny years. Of course there is a Desheateurs in the back field again so maybe that bodes well.
I don’t think many people knew what to expect from Brevard given the new coaching staff and how young they are. Season is still very young but I think they left a little bit of a good impression at Memorial Stadium last night. And to the point stated earlier, I too wish that Brevard would get back to playing Tuscola again on an annual basis. It just seems right when those three teams lock up with each other.
Eh, I think we'd be alright in the SMC.Robbinsville 32 Brevard 7. Good thing Pisgah isn't in the Smoky Mountain Conference!
I am a bit concerned about the level of non conference competition THS is playing this year. We dont really know their capability yet. I hope they do well we need a strong THS team in the conference, but just no way to tell yet.The Bairs do seem to be off to a little slower start this year, maybe the Mounties can finally get another W in the series.

Squeaky by Enka 14-7 should be concerning to any Bear fan however, Coach Sexton no doubt has improved that program. The Bairs do seem to be off to a little slower start this year, maybe the Mounties can finally get another W in the series.
I believe you're getting a little head of yourself.,Erwin is probably a little better that what you have seen so far. .Remember you have never beat Chappell ,will this be the year ,maybe ,maybe not .The Bairs do seem to be off to a little slower start this year, maybe the Mounties can finally get another W in the series.
But they didn’t. We took it away from them. Sound familiar?Enka had every chance to win this game .
True, but if there are any Enka fans out there, they ought to be encouraged by the good showing against what everybody considers a traditionally pretty damn good Pisgah program. (whether some want to admit it or not.) I remember 42-0 (ish) blowouts of the Jets in past season openers. And thats another thing.. Not bad for the first time out when everybody else has had a game last week. But they didn’t. We took it away from them. Sound familiar?
This current Pisgah team will need to battle every week, due to their inexperience at several positions. We have the talent though. Juniors and Sophs all over the field, just need to pull it all together. I think we will. JV team is young, but very good, and could go undefeated again this year.True, but if there are any Enka fans out there, they ought to be encouraged by the good showing against what everybody considers a traditionally pretty damn good Pisgah program. There is a player on that JV team I saw that actually has something PHS has been missing for a long time....Quickness AND speed. There should be a place for him to be worked in the varsity for a few plays right now. This current Pisgah team will need to battle every week, due to their inexperience at several positions.
