Did you two slack jaws even bother to look at Michigan's roster? I'm guessing you didn't. Take a look.

I count 9 seniors…… .9. When is the last time Cal had even half of that? Add in the 2 juniors and 2 sophomores and that tells me Michigan is nothing like any team Cal has ever had at UK.

5 of their top 7 scorers are seniors.
Livers, Brooks and Smith combine for 10.2 assists per game, all seniors.

The only thing similar is Hunter Dickinson. He is a freshman.

Tell me again how Michigan is anything close to UK under Cal. I'm dying to read your comparisons.

Also, this is some weird arguement, has anyone on this board actually compared Howard to Cal? If so, I haven't seen it.

You both look like fools right now, but honestly, you did before your posts in this thread anyway.
I am assuming they all come back to dear old Michigan for their free season the ncaa just gave everyone.

Yeah, somehow Michigan's players first system would have seven 5th year seniors and at UK, we can't even get sophomores to return.
I meant returning AFTER this year. The ncaa gave everyone a free season so maybe they all return.

The whole year has been an anomaly.
Iusedtobe is out of ncaa tournament coach is fired, dook out of tournament fire K, loosevile out, fire micky. Michigan state loses play in game, fire izho.
The whole season should have been cancelled but $$$$ win out again.

Bro what is wrong with you? I’ve told you Cal is at fault butttt there was also a global pandemic that limited practices. I’m not sure how much else I can agree with you. I’m really not all that sure we are disagreeing but you seem to lose your mind a little more every time you reply to mehise
So...the China virus ONLY applied to UK, not Michigan, Illinois, Alabama, Gonzaga and all the other top teams? ZERO excuse for this disaster!!

That's where I'm different I guess, ****** is ******. If you miss the tournament it doesn't matter to me if it's by a game or 10 games, as long as we're talking about one season.
Well its been just shy of 20% of the seasons now. 2 in a decade is significant and points to some level of adjustment being needed at a program that is a blueblood. We aren't Virginia Tech where you're hoping to fall on the right side of the bubble more often than not.

It's a dumb stat because it doesn't fit your arguement.

You probably think all time wins and out three point streak were stupid too.

All-time wins is definitely a notable stat.

Nah man, it’s a dumb stat because literally no one in human history judges tournament success based on “how many power 5 teams you beat”. That implies if you say make a final four by beating 4 power 5 teams, vs. beating 4 mid-majors, that that’s somehow viewed in a higher regard, even if those teams are the same seed. No one judges tournament success that way

That’s just stupid. Just say “no final fours since 2015” don’t bring in such an absurd stat hahaha. Has absolutely nothing to do with my argument

Those programs didn't allow covid to beat them because they are veteran teaks that don't play favorites to get certain players drafted.

Yeah great, Cal was all humble and **** during his interview with MJ, but it's too late for that, the damage is done. He rode the farm system wave too long and when it bit him in the ***, he talked down to the fans, got sarcastic with us and called us basketball Bennies. You can't do that, then turn around and expect us to say everything is okay.

That guy threw games away so Boston could get his. He did the same thing last year with Whitney. He waited until the last 2 games of the season to finally put Mintz at the 1. He parked Allen on the bench all year and part of me feels it was just to show the fans who the boss was.

This type of season was bound to happen eventually. Some of us saw it coming, but Cal didn't. You can't flip the roster like this and think everything is always going to work out.

He used the platform that UK provided to satisfy his nba draft desires instead of putting UK first and look what happened. You can't defend him, you just can't.

Well sure man, if that’s your opinion about coach Cal you’re free to have that opinion. Clearly the athletic department doesn’t have the same viewpoint. I don’t need to defend him considering he’s literally in the basketball hall of fame lmao. And again I never said this past year is up to my standards as a fan and have mentioned ways I want Cal to change, but I don’t look at with this extreme hopelessness that you do.

And we can go back and forth about mistakes Cal may have made with playing time this year, but our team stunk, and was gonna stink regardless. We sucked, and from what you’re saying if Cal never thought a season like this would happen/was possible, maybe this season is a good thing because now he knows it can happen, which may lead him to make changes (as he said he will).

I would recommend to stop dwelling on this year. Move on. This year sucked, Cal isn’t going anywhere, and there’s no reason to torture yourself trying to explain all the reasons why things went wrong, and to continue to Talk/think about it all the time

Tell you what, you can keep your recommendations and I'll continue to assess what I see and form my own opinions.

Many others share my same opinions and the longer Cal goes without final fours, titles and power 5 wins in the NCAAT, the more BBN fans will see the same things I do. I don't wait for the boat to actually hit the iceberg, I want to do something about it before that happens.

You may not think all time wins, home losses, the 3 point streak (that is gone, twice), historically bad season, two NIT's in 8 years and only 1 win over a power 5 team in the NCAAT since 2015, is much to focus on, but that's what all Calipari defenders say. To me, they are all an indicator of a problem.

I asked about his roster. No info on that huh?

From the article:

"The Wolverines play so hard, so disciplined or so selflessly."

Yeah, just like we saw from the Calipari recruited and coached team this year.

"He [Howard] has a playbook the size of a Charles Dickens novel. When the coaching staff holds a scouting meeting, he arrives with pages and pages of handwritten notes, not just on Michigan’s upcoming opponent but on the Wolverines’ practice film."

Just like Cal, extensive playbook, and hours and hours of scouting other team, etc.

"Howard’s .... humility and eagerness to learn are exceptional qualities."

Humility, now that's Cal to a T.

Howard didn't have head-coaching experience, let alone coached a final four and championship team. Yet, if you listen to those who say no one out there good enough to replace Cal; have to keep Cal because no one else has his coaching credentials.

Look at Joe B. Hall's record pre-Kentucky. Now look at his record while at Kentucky. Look at Final Four appearances, NCAA wins, SEC regular season championships, etc.

So yeah, bring up Juwan Howard thinking that supports keeping the Carnival Barker at Kentucky. Wrong.

The Cal first fans are terrified of Cal leaving. They think Cal can't be replaced. They have no idea how wrong they are.

Please name me a head coach in the modern era, that has been with a power 5 team over 10 years with no bad seasons.
Ummmm 7 games under .500 bad?! Worst season in around 100 years at their respective school?! You’re gonna have to bring more heat and come harder than that! 🤪

Juwan Howard is who I think Kentucky should look at next. Or at least keep an eye on. He's young. He's a solid coach. He knows the game all the way up to the professional level. Players seem to love him..
LMAO...let's see how he does over 3-4 years..maybe win something
