Just curious, as I am in the middle of a possible conversion at the moment.
Giving up the alcohol wasn’t that bad, but not being able to eat pulled pork killed meJust curious, as I am in the middle of a possible conversion at the moment.
No option for Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhism, or Sikh? I thought you were progressive?Just curious, as I am in the middle of a possible conversion at the moment.
I figure if you believe the Apostles Creed, that’s good enough.I am Christian… denomination would be Baptist due to greatest alignment with beliefs but I think we need to drop the denominations and focus on Jesus
Was about to reference the schism. There's a couple Methodist flavors now. I stayed with my fellow heathens in the UMC. Lots of my church buds left. Pretty sad about it.Former Southern Baptist
Current bad Methodist
Because those aren’t religions. They are simply wrong.*****No option for Jewish, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhism, or Sikh? I thought you were progressive?
Edit: added Jewish for Schmuley.
Because then everybody can focus on fighting amongst each other instead of….you know….helping othersI’ve never really understood the need for sects/denominations in Christianity or any of the Abrahamic religions. Aren’t we ultimately for the same guy?
One only has to read all of the headstrong opinions on the Pack to understand the answer to that question.I’ve never really understood the need for sects/denominations in Christianity or any of the Abrahamic religions. Aren’t we ultimately for the same guy?

I’m considering it. I also consider them all Christian. Catholicism is the OG at least. I hear I am not alone in this.I’m Christian. I happen to be Catholic
Jesus's first personal miracle as a grownup was turning the water to wine at a wedding party at the request of his mom. The hosts ran out of wine and were very embarrassed to their guests. Jesus's mom practically had to beg him to do it. He initially didn't want to, but gave in. He called his mom...."woman" and said "why do you involve me with this?" ......of course, the first miracle involving him was the virgin birth.I attend a Baptist church but I am non-denominational. Funny story, our Sunday School teacher was talking about drinking (big no no for Baptists). I asked him to show me where in the Bible it said no drinking. He said he would research and get back with me. Even Jesus said they called him a wine bibber while John the Baptist who never had alcohol touched his lips. 2 weeks later he started class by holding up his Bible and saying I have searched everywhere and nowhere does it say you can't drink. It says not to be drunk but nowhere does it say you can't have a drink.
It’s pretty dumb to argue about stupid legalistic shlt like drinking. It’s not hard to discern what adds to a virtuous life and what doesn’t. Bad behavior and habits are obvious.Jesus's first personal miracle as a grownup was turning the water to wine at a wedding party at the request of his mom. One fact that many religions cannot get past is......"The ONLY way to get to heaven is through Jesus". There is no other path.
Absolutely, God did originally create you as the greatest Archangel in Heaven. Too bad you screwed up and got kicked out. But go ahead and answer. You and your Demons have been very busy since then and have done a bang-up job here on earth. Enjoy it til the very end. Then, you and your team will crash hard and burn spectacularly........forever.Am I allowed to answer?
